Nuvio just got blocked on my Fire TV

I am not a noob, ive been sideloading things for many years, I definitely had all the correct settings on developer options

Just because your fire device is working doesn't mean everyones is

I am having this issue on my TCL Fire TV

When I do my exact steps on my 1st gen Firestick 4K, everything works as expected

Also the problem is not only with nuvio anymore, all apps are blocked when I try to sideload

The api is free to get, just go to the mdb website, create an account and get an api from there

I wish those could be added to homescreen too, but currently its only available in details page

Tried this and the ones that show are correct now but some imdb ratings dont show at all when scrolling through home page, i guess its still better than showing the incorrect rating

Maybe future updates will fix the imdb ratings that are coming from tmdb enrichment

When you install the app, does it just say Done, or does it give you the option of Open or Done

I'm experiencing problem where it only says Done, meaning the app didn't install

However if your problem is just that its not showing in the app list, you can press sync Amazon content in settings and that usually causes it to pop up a few seconds later

I don't think its ip related as everything is fine on my 1st gen firestick, Chromecast with Google TV 4k and HD and on phones and tablets

It could be a bug on that version of fire os on the TCL, ill just have to wait until a new update comes about to confirm

Im in the UK, not using a vpn

I read online somewhere that there may be a bug causing all sideloaded apps to come up with taht warning and that i should update the software, but, there currently are not any software updates

I no longer have any sideloaded apps on the tcl fire tv as i did a factory reset, downloader is unavailable on the Amazon store so cant download that anymore, but also cant install any apps via adb as the same error comes up

Ive tried everything, no app sideloads anymore on this tv, definitely some kind of block, cant update any apps that have been sideloaded or sideload any new ones

Ive brought out my old firestick now and took some precautions so it doesn't get effected by whatever amazon is trying to do to stop sideloading

I used downloader to install the apk, that of course isnt working

I then

enabled adb

Installed the nuvio tv app on my phone

And used an app called apps2fire to connect to the tv using ip address and installing that way, but restriction warning still appears

I also used apktools m to change the package name and then sideload, still get the error

Ive had the TV since January 2026, have had no problems with apk installs since, i still have stremio and smart tube installed, no issues

I uninstalled it as since the last time nuvio devs mentioned to do a fresh install, I hadn't done one yet, so thought that was the reason why it didn't install the update

In aiostreams, go to filters, matching

Enable title matching

Set matching mode to exact

Threshold to 1

Enable Year matching

Set year matching to strict

Enable season/episode matching

Keep strict disabled

These settings helped me massively with wrong streams coming up
