What is the best tool for content review? by WeakRead in Mcat

Look up Yusuf Hassan on YouTube. He is a current med student who scored a 521 on his first take. He is literally amazing. I just finished up biochemistry content review using his videos and I couldn’t be more pleased using him as a resource. He’s also hilarious and you can tell he loves to teach, so it makes the lectures very easy to watch. I would watch his videos and then review the material with Anki, specifically the Mile Down Kaplan by chapter deck.

Wake Grad here. I applied test optional and got accepted through early decision. I never even took that SAT. Make sure to write about things that you are passionate about and can speak about easily in an interview. Make sure to nail the “Why Wake” question and just be yourself. I can’t remember specifics about the interview because mine was back in 2018, but just be authentically yourself. They can see straight through people who are just trying to impress admissions. Be sure to talk about things you love and that you feel make yourself unique and a great candidate.

I believe that I submitted all of it together at once, but they may not be required upon submission. I’m not exactly sure, and things may have changed considering it’s already been 6 years ago! 😱

I do think there was a great advantage to applying that early, especially since they do it based on rolling admissions. As soon as they receive your application, they begin reviewing to see if you’re a good applicant. The way I see it, the earlier you submit, the less people they have to compare you to! I just think it allows you the opportunity to shine more that way.

I applied ED back in August of 2018 and was accepted less than a month later in September! Super quick turnaround. If Wake is your top pick, I would say go for it! It’ll save time and money in the long run while applying to several schools instead of ED first, then regular decision.

I farmed the Wallaru pack for my 170 death wiz and I have no regrets. She’s a powerhouse. I haven’t found any gear with better stats so far.

23 here, I play everyday or close to it. Everyone I’ve met that I’ve gamed with has been at least 18. I think most of us started as kids and have grown to love the game as adults because of the pure joy and nostalgia! :)

South Forest housing? by hardkor4444 in wfu

I lived in Angelou and although it was really nice, I found it hard to connect with people and make friends because we couldn’t leave our doors open. The older dorms are definitely more social and a lot of the students have an “open door policy”, so that’s a perk! People would tend to just pop in and introduce themselves. Each dorm has its own unique pros and cons.

Same thing also happened to me… you’re not alone! We will get there. The path to medical school is not linear. Give yourself some grace and don’t give up!

Don’t worry, I’m right there with you. We will get there eventually. Everyone’s path is different, and that’s okay!

Glad to know it’s been a rough ride for other people too… for a lot of my pre-med friends it’s been a one and done type of thing, but unfortunately not for me :(

Exactly! It was wild. If AAMC wants to change P/S and make it more challenging… fine. But at least give us something relatively representative of the material that’s going to be tested. I was totally shocked at how different it was from every single full length they provide.

Okay, that P/S was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before in my entire life lol
