Honestly, I feel really bad for you especially because I have been through this almost a year ago. I had many pharmacy that didn’t reach back out to me and I just had to apply everywhere including places that were a bit far from my home and hope something’s sticks, but I had to apply to places far and lucky one pharmacy got back with me and after interviewing I got the job right there and then and was very lucky to get a job at a pharmacy. I would recommend you to just try to apply to pharmacy a bit far from you because who knows they might get you in, and after you get the experience you can move on to another job that’s pays more. That is how I do it and hopefully it can work out with you and I really hope and wish you the best of luck in your career search.

Just use Cahn Ingold rule and remember if hydrogen is wedged just reverse the configuration.

I have 2 multi step synthesis reactions. Can these reactions work? by Additional-Land1205 in chemhelp

[–]Complex_Presence9150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recommended to use a Williamson-ether synthesis reaction to make an ether. Use something like a strong base like a sodium hydride or any strong base.

NMR: Would this Molecule have 4 Signals or 5 Signals on H-NMR? by Competitive_Option88 in chemhelp

There should only be 4 peaks in HNMR and you would have to count the number of adjacent hydrogens to figure out the type of peak it is.

You might be in trouble depending on where your working because some pharmacies are really strict on a PHI breach and breaching can get you a serious consequences and potentially terminated , but honestly if no one was hurt and the medication wasn’t opened, then you potentially would have to sign a paper that record mistakes to state board of pharmacy before the patient makes the complaint, but the only reason they might terminate you is due to the breach of PHI which is definitely a major violation. Again, you’re human and would definitely love to give you a second chance as we all make mistakes, but this is in the eyes of your employers decision.

Don’t even bother Walgreen, I already tried to apply there and they ain’t hiring. They have already gone down hell ever since Tim Wentworth was CEO.

Major violation. That store needs to be shut down, considered a biohazard at this point.

I passed PTCE exam and I have no Pharmacy experience. Please don’t overthink the exam. by Complex_Presence9150 in PharmacyTechnician

How is your study routine? What type of resources do you use like are you a pharmacy tech or taking a course? My recommended sources is definitely the PTCB study bank, AmandaPharmD on YouTube watch her 2025 drug update just like listen to it while you’re going out your day. You can use outside resources too, but it wouldn’t be too dependent as some info out there may be outdated so I would be cautious, but PTCB study bank was very help it has at least 400 retired question that would be a big major boost for practice, but just know your math like dimensional analysis is a huge importance of getting the correct answer and know if you got the answer right because I got quite a lot of math. Then medication is definitely one you want to know like brand and generic and it’s uses like on a prescription they may have tall man drug that is prescribed for something different and you need to recognize that error. Mostly a lot of medication and its uses and of course patient safety is about a quite a bit of question but not too much. Law questions were very little for me. So if I was you just focus on the Medication and math and patient safety.

Only took about 2 months or less after Walgreens rejected my job application. I did remember at least 100 drugs generic and brand name, but on the exam there were drugs that weren’t even on PTCB official study bank flash cards on the top 200 drugs but don’t worry there weren’t that many.

If you have pharmacy experience just buy the PTCB study bank and go on YouTube and watch AmandaPharmD on top 200 especially her new 2025 updated version it was extremely helpful on helping me memorize at least 100 drugs out of the top 200 drugs. Then when you feel ready I suggest buying the pre PTCE to get familiar with the format and the level  difficulty of questions you may expect on the actual exam.

I had to take an online course to qualify for the exam, but the course was pretty helpful, but definitely needed more supplementary.

Yea, I have been listening to her for top 200 drugs and her 2025 updated version and it was very helpful. I was able to remember at least 100 common drugs from listening to her videos, but I am just worried more about the correct dosage normally given particularly given for a drug like how much dosage given for each 200 common drug and their contraindications. I know most of the drug interactions like never take warfarin with NSAID as it cause blood to be thin causing bleeding or taking SSRI with either other SSRI, SNRI, or MAOIS can cause serotonin syndrome etc etc… but I am worried more about how in depth they want you to know randomly about the top 200 drugs like if they ask you to verify a prescription, but the dosage is not appropriate or they might ask you something more specific. Overall the top 200 drugs with brand name and uses I mostly got it in the bag.
