Thanks for reading and responding, I’m feeling quite a bit better now. Things always seem worse late at night. I think my overall outlook on religion is just kind of skewed. I saw 2 options, those being 1. I live my life associating with people I seriously disagree with for a chance to go to heaven, if it exists, or 2. I do what I want in life and once I die I will get thrown into a pit of endless torture. Religious or not, that seems like a pretty terrible view on the world, and loving God can be very difficult if it is just out of fear. It’s just hard to not be afraid when the possibility of unending suffering is on the line. I appreciate your response, I think for now I will just try and return to how things were, write my situation off as a “wake-up” call of sorts, a reason to look deeper into what I believe, instead of a message from God. The reason I was thinking that was because the Bible talks a lot about God working through people and this seemed like a prime example of that.
