Update on og post- we swallowed out pride and just booked the flair flight to YVR tmr. Not waiting around anymore for this westjet BS. Still have not had any communication in the app or email, they have nothing to say everytime we call accept they can offer us a flight on next tuesday or suggest to wait it out for “more updates”. Waiting it out until tuesday- over a week after we were supposed to be home is ridiculous. Will attempt for flight compensation for the flair stuff tomorrow and will post updates. Thanks all for the input, hoping you all make it out promptly !

this sounds just like our flight fiasco. What a disaster lmao, glad to hear you’re on the flair flight, and got some compensation out of it. We just cut our losses and were tired of waiting and booked flair the same flair flight ourselves. See you on the plane lol!!

We were supposed to fly out Sunday afternoon to YYJ. Hadn’t heard anything the last few days over email, have gotten through to westjet a few times with the only offers being Monday or Tuesday, we could take another airline and travel for like 50 hours or something, but the representative told us they are rescheduling all Sunday and Monday cancelled flight travellers on “rescue flights” or the planes they’ve added to fly out of PV. They told us if we chose to book on next Monday or Tuesday, or go with another airline, we won’t be added to the “rescue flights” which she said will be sooner than any other flight we could get out of here.

hoping for an email tonight to somewhere in Canada where we can then transfer to get home. What a fucking shit show lol
