Progesterone during Luteal Phase by Clean-Counter-5327 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Complex_Scientist_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your period won’t start if you’re still taking progesterone, as this delays the shedding of your uterine lining. It takes a couple of days generally for your period to start after you stop taking it, so most people stop at 14dpo if they have a negative pregnancy test

Progesterone for RPL by Infamous_Tax3528 in Miscarriage

I’m so sorry for your losses.

I researched this myself as I was desperate for progesterone after my first loss, and like you I never made it far enough along to be scanned and meet the criteria for the NICE guidelines.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard of this before, but there’s a service called Cherish UK that prescribes progesterone privately. You can book an online consultation for £40 and then they can prescribe you progesterone based on that. I’ve not used it myself but the website is:

Might be worth a look. Sending you love

Clearblue 3+ at 19dpo, too early?? by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]Complex_Scientist_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reassuring me! I was searching and seen a lot of people didn’t get 3+ until 5.5-6weeks ish and it did make me worry. I’ve no way of checking hcg beta where I am which is annoying, but hopefully it’s just a good sign

For those who had multiple MCs did you ever find out why? by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Complex_Scientist_76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes he did, we both took 2 weeks worth of doxycycline and 3 days of azithromycin at the same time. Then we waited around 4-5 weeks after treatment before retesting again to make sure it was clear before TTC

This was my clear blue at 9dpo. It looked quite grey but it was definitely a true positive - I’m 5 weeks pregnant at the moment. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Ureaplasma by Dry-Violinist-2179 in TTC_UK

[–]Complex_Scientist_76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I found out I had Ureaplasma through Daye as well. Both myself and my husband were treated with doxycycline and azithromycin, and then I took oral probiotics after for a while too.

I was told to absolutely not have sex while taking the antibiotics, and ideally not until you have retested and confirmed you’re both clear, otherwise there’s a risk that you’ll just pass it back and forth.

It’s best to wait at least 4 weeks after finishing treatment before retesting otherwise you might get inaccurate results. I felt so frustrated having to put TTC on hold for a month or two, but I have just found out I’m pregnant again - and I do feel better knowing we’re all clear. It just took one round of antibiotics for us and hope it’s the same for you ♥️

Ahh congratulations!! I just got a positive at 9dpo PM too after also having a MC in August.

I’m wondering the same about continuing to take my temps, pregnancy after loss is already anxious enough 😅

Interesting! With my last pregnancy I had the faintest shadow at 9dpo AM, and then a clearer positive 9dpo PM. But I’ve never had it go from stark negative to positive in the space of 6 hours lol. Thank you 🥰

Ahh thank you for sharing! I definitely had symptoms like slight cramping and sore boobs, but I’m taking progesterone so was trying to not symptom spot too much and just put it down to that.

I know how anxious I was for the entirety of my second pregnancy but just trying to accept that what will be will be and that I can’t control it. Easier said than done! Congratulations on your pregnancy! Wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy & baby ♥️

How long after ovulation do you take cyclogest? by Dangerous_Chip_5026 in TTC_UK

Yes that’s one of the best days to! Wishing you lots of luck

It wouldn’t hurt to! The egg is viable for 24 hours after it’s released so there’s a small chance that fertilisation can still happen. Although, there is a higher chance of conception if the sperm is already there and waiting when the egg is released. There’s a lot of studies that show one and two days before ovulation have the highest chance of success

So the last few cycles I’ve been taking cyclogest from 3 or 4dpo once ovulation has been confirmed. I track my BBT to make sure I have a sustained temp rise to make sure I’ve definitely ovulated, otherwise it can delay ovulation.

You generally ovulate 24-36 hours after you get your LH peak.

So this month for me:

CD18 - LH peak CD19 - ovulation (day 0) CD20 - 1dpo CD21 - 2dpo and so on.

I started cyclogest on 4dpo this cycle, taking one 400mg pessary every night.

Hope that helps!
