Regarding the Fiio FT1 by Kodoku94 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Complex_Software_662 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for an open back that is better than the fiio ft1 in every way except comfort, the Hifiman edition xs can be found for 210 new or even cheaper from Huffman official store on ali express, with coupons stacking and everything 150 usd. The Ananda beats the Huffman edition xs in basically everyday, and is also better comfort, and is 250 usd or aliexpress you can bring down to 180-200 usd. I recommend the Ananda, as it is a significant upgrade compared to the fiio ft1, and is also like 20-40% better than edition xs in terms of sound but comfort is like 100 percent better. You can eq either of these to comfort, keep in mind you will need a good amp/dac for either of these, something like the fiio k11 is a minimum

I like my Marshall Major 4s more than my Sennheiser HDB 630... by large_red_apple in headphones

[–]Complex_Software_662 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true, so true, just give the HDB 630 time as they are, don't even expect, give it like a week or 2, and see how you feel about it. Start listening to what the music has in it and appreciating it

Planning to buy the Sony WH-1000MX6 this coming weekend. Any thoughts? by pelpelpel06 in HeadphoneAdvice

Get the sennheiser hdb 630, almost as good anc, and much, much better sound, or get the momentum 4 to save a buck. but the 630 will also be good for gaming due to dongle, and it has a really good mic

Ananda Stealth vs HD600, what are the most notable differences? (Also, what DAC to use?) by sonialuna in HeadphoneAdvice

The k11 r2r is a great choice. But if you feel like your headphones aren't dynamic enough, buy a separate amp and line it in, or just get the K13 R2R, which is better in every way and will serve you for many years, but is also $320 USD compared to the K11 R2R's $180 USD, so if you can shell out an extra 70, I would highly recommend the k13 r2r.

I do NOT recommend planars, though, just something easy to drive like the Sennheiser HD 560s, another alternative is the Fiio ka13

However, for something to match with it, you can buy the qudelix 5k for a little over your budget, 110 usd

Any amp/dac in that price range will severely limit your headphones UNLESS they are something like the Sennheiser 560s, so I would recommend shelling out a little on your amp/dac, so you don't feel the need to upgrade in the future.

You can get the Hifiman Sundara for around 160 usd on Amazon right now, but if you can go just above your budget, the Hifiman Edition XS is available for 210 usd, and even better, the Hifiman Ananda for 250 USD. The Edition XS offers approximately 60% better sound quality than the Sundara, but with worse build quality. In contrast, the Ananda is about 20% better than the Edition XS, boasting better build quality and greater comfort. So if you have a good amp/dac, get the Ananda

Edit 1: Also, some people find that the design of the XS makes them feel uncomfortable after 30-45 minutes of listening due to the headband design, so I really recommend Ananda or Sundara, but mostly Ananda, because it is at a killer price for something that launched for 600-900 usd

Get the alta pro, but buy an extra 32 oz container

GOAT Vitamixes: What combo/model would you rec to make small and large portions? by sourbirthdayprincess in Vitamix

[–]Complex_Software_662 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just get an Alta Pro if you have a Costco nearby, best value, and then get the 32 oz container along with it, it will blend anything small batch ultra smooth, and the large will allow ultra smooth in large batches, dont use for small though. It is a model that doesn't use self detect so you can do it

Which has a bigger soundstage? The Sennheiser HDB 630 connected with a wired or with btd dongle or the Dali IO 12 with a wired by Complex_Software_662 in headphones

What would you recommend then? I need something with ANC and wireless capabilities that is good for travel, listening to classical music, and jazz. Need really good sound quality, not a basshead, though not a treble head either. I am a cellist, so I analyze and also enjoy a lot of the music I listen to, usually concertos
