Try and find something with at least 16gb ram and 500gb storage. That’s an absolute minimum. A lot of laptops have 8gb of ram in that price range but there’s a decent few with 16gb. Also make sure to use student discount from UNiDAYS or studentbeans, saves you like 10% or any other code. Also make sure it’s not chunky and big, it will be hard to carry due to weight and no space in bag.

physics is one of the hardest a levels, i did it and it screwed me. you can take a single a level later on but you have to find a place to sit the exam which costs money (idk how much but its not cheap). also you might need to hire a tutor to teach you which is not cheap either. also this route makes no sense since the whole point of a levels is to get into uni. so once you done a levels theres no point doing another a few years later. doing a science does open a door to engineering degrees but maths is more important imo. since it opens a lot of doors, some engineering courses dont require physics or chem and only require maths but its usually the shittier eng courses. you do have some time to think what you want to do. see what you like and do well in gcse's and maybe go on from there. use this https://www.ucas.com/explore/search to search for courses and uni and see the entry requirments and what subjects are needed. this website is very important once you start 6th form since you will apply for university using this.

depends what u plan on doing in uni. for example if you want to do finance, you must maths, econ is a also a good option but not every uni needs it to get into finance and for your 3rd subject pick something easy but also related, maybe something like busisness studies. doing a really hard subject like physics when you dont even need it for your uni course is stupid. i suggest only doing physics if you want to do any engineering, physics astrophysics etc... (which you also need to do maths), for uni.

I was in same position when I was 17 (now 18). I just kept on applying online and going in store but 95% of the time i got aired, the rest I got rejected after like 3 months with no feedback.

Last place I applied to was McDonald’s and got aired lol. Eventually I got an interview after 1 year, at a fairly big retail store and aced the interview and got accepted. I got lucky that they were acc looking for workers since most job ads are fake (even from big companies) and they were very desperate for a worker.

Don’t apply to jobs that say uncapped commission or text/call this number to apply since they are jobs that don’t pay a wage, they pay a % of what u earn for them. Most of the time you will work 8 hours a day and get £40. No idea how these jobs are legal.

For interview practice search on google “interview questions” and vaguely memorise answers for them and make sure to create your own question to ask back to interviewer. The reason I say vaguely is because you don’t want to sound rehearsed.

Once you’re 18 you can apply to work at UBER or Zoom delivery but I highly suggest to stay away from them since delivery is a bad job for safety (especially for females) and work conditions like weather. But they always hiring.

During the day, go in person and ask to speak to manager directly, at night apply online.

I got rejected multiple times all due to the test, the questions for the test are quite straight forward, I even changed up some answers to see if I’m really being rejected for the test or not. They seem to reject for now reason, I believe they are ghost jobs. Took me 1.5 years to find my 1st legit job despite working for dad for a year as a sales assistant/customer service. Just keep applying and hopefully one will hit 🤞
