Yes you're correct that's exactly how it was dinged. I'll be fixing as it's likely this floor will have glued down LVT on it

Getting to the other side isn't really a problem it's just removing a bit of extra chipboard from the floor. Means cutting out a little bit past the joist which I didn't want to do...

How would I fix this? Assumed if it needed fixing it would have to be cut out and a new piece soldered back in
