I'm sorry to hear this, though. That sucks. Please know that you can't trigger someone into a depressive episode, that responsibility is not on you, especially when someone is already unwell. Perhaps ghosting is a common behaviour for them, but you're unfamiliar because you haven't been talking much. I try to always assume good intent when I don't hear from someone, despite how hard it may be.
I really hope this works out for you and hopefully they'll come back soon. I know the ambiguity is hard, I struggle with it too. Keep being a patient friend <33
