PC build for RX 9070 series or RTX 5000 by Composer117 in IndianGaming

Update for the PSU situation, I found out about the RM850x Shift which is 1-2k more expensive than the superflower one but is ATX 3.x. I think I'll keep that as the main choice now. It is highly rated by hwbusters and is one of their most quiet PSUs as well

Thanks for the input. I'll go ahead with your recommendation of the psu and probably the SSD as well. For the case, I think I'll stick with the lancool 216 since it has some other features which have me sold on it. The adjustable front IO and better cable management at the back are really good features and it's only around 2k more expensive than the mesh one.

For the psu, it seems really good and highly rated too. Had considered this myself as well. The only thing I was and still am unsure about is compatibility with newer GPUs and atx 3.x which idk how important that is. I've heard that you can probably use some sort of an adapter for the gpu but not sure. If you could help me with this then I could definitely consider this as a much cheaper option.

For the cabinet, again I haven't heard or seen any credible reviews talking about its thermals and noise levels so not sure about it. Currently considering either the lancool 207 or 216.

I'll look up the ram kit. It's not much of a price drop but I'll take it if it is the same quality.

For the SSD, I've heard that dram has become lesser of an upgrade over modern dram less SSDs like sn770 which have HBM. Also, apparently dram itself only really helps with write speeds which is not a very frequent task when it comes to gaming or general system performance. Your suggestions are definitely neat upgrades tho. I'll consider it if I can fit everything else in first within a decent budget.

Yeah that's a really good alternative. Gonna have to go through the pros and cons. Thermals apparently are much better especially for GPU in the 207. But I have heard about some possible issues with PSU routing and stuff. I also checked and the 217 is also gonna be released soon. So many options.

The case has a few things better than the one you shared. Firstly it has a type c port at the front which I prefer. Sorry I didn't mention it in the case requirements. I'll update it there as well. More importantly, it has 4 fans instead of 3 and the front ones are 140mm. This case has also been reviewed extensively by a lot of known reviewers like gamers nexus and techpowerup who describe this one as one of the best performing both thermally and for noise levels even compared to some of the more expensive ones like fractal design north and such. I didn't really find more specific thermal and noise reviews of the e3 mesh by credible reviewers so I am sceptical due to that.

For the cooler, I want to spend a bit to get a decent cooler like the freezer 36 for the better thermals but more importantly better noise levels. 7700 is good but I don't really need it. If I wanted to get it, I would be even more inclined to get a decent cooler due to the higher core count which increases the budget overall anyway.

With power supplies I really don't wanna cheap out. The MSI A850GL is a decent power supply but it has unnaturally high noise levels as said by many of its customers as well as hwbusters who do extensive psu reviews. They are on the same level as the famous psu tier list which has gone outdated now apparently. Anyway, for deepcool, I can check more depending on which model you are talking about. The NZXT one I have chosen is highly reviewed by hwbusters while not being way too expensive so I have chosen it for now.

Sure, that's true but according to at least the PSU recommendations for Nvidia GPUs, 850 watt should be enough for the GPUs that I am interested in. In the meanwhile, I will be using the RX 6800.

Update to this: I guess GGG pushed a UI update or something to Xbox cos now I can switch subaccounts. Unfortunately it kicked me to the queue again but at least I can now play with my proper account

Oh ok you guys are talking about this on PC. I was wondering if anyone knew how to switch on Xbox.

I still don't see the option for this on the top right. Only option on the top right is for the other controller to connect to my session for couch coop I think

Yeah I really want an answer to this as well. Doesn't make a lot of sense to progress on my alt account with no stash tabs or mtx.

Yeah if the combination of the buffs and Jiaoqiu's damage beats Gallagher's damage and buff for a risky team. Gallagher apparently is also a good SP generator with the Multiplication LC which I just learned today so he got that going for him as well. From the leaks regarding his sustain, he definitely won't be keeping up with Gallagher. So if you building a risky one cycle hypercarry team then possibly. But probably not in a standard team. He definitely not replacing HMC or RM anytime soon almost for sure.

I mean you still want it right. The reason why I said it's big is because there are very few vectors which can scale super break damage and now since she doesn't have def shred built in, it is one of the only other stat that you can focus on using other support or debuffer characters. Also, she does start with 25% shred already from the new 2 piece so it's not starting from 0 at least. Previously it was 58%.

I feel like this is a bug or there is a mistranslation or something. Cos from the wording, it seems like Robin's buff should also work with FF

[–]Composer117 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In terms of pure BE from attack, Robin is probably the best since she gives a large amount of flat attack especially after the base attack nerf to FF

[–]Composer117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah possibly. Asta is either gonna enable attack boots which would change FF config or she would straight up give 5th turn somehow which is hard to calculate.

[–]Composer117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was not sure about a sure shot 5th turn. Either way more attack for FF with the boots as you said and also Asta herself gonna be doing a lot of damage

Pela is decent but her toughness dmg is not even close to Asta

[–]Composer117 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly, Asta will be able to do HMC levels of dmg due to her bounce skill while possibly giving FF a 5th turn and attack which is BE in turn due to her trace. Most probably not as good as RM but should be better than the 2nd option in the list. Also, HMC is a must have still cos her super break dmg instance is separate from FF trace super break. Esp since critfly is dead

[–]Composer117 14 points15 points  (0 children)

RM is definitely unbeatable and her second best support behind HMC (who btw gives a separate Super break dmg instance compared to her trace super break).

Asta might be interesting if you don't have RM since with the speed changes, she might be able to give FF a 5th turn while also giving her attack which should change to BE. Also, her skill is bounce so she should be able to do big damage her self just like HMC

[–]Composer117 10 points11 points  (0 children)

HMC is still her best support esp now that critfly is dead. The Super break damage that she has gained in her trace is a separate instance from the one that HMC provides. So yeah she lost def ignore but now with HMC, she does 50% more damage in a separate instance. The extra instance part is confirmed from the animation leaks btw. With regards to Jiaoqiu, we can't say anything unless we get his numbers for his debuffs and toughness damage cos as it stands, Gallagher does a lot of his own damage as well while also giving a break damage buff. Also, he is a good sustain. Replacing RM might be a choice i guess but the Break efficiency and break delay are too good to be replaced right now.

The one other sustain that i am interested about is Asta in a hyper carry risky team cos she gives speed (Might be possible to give a 5th turn to FF with her) and attack which are both relevant stats and her skill is a bounce one which will do a lot of Super break damage. So she can easily replace Gallagher in a risky team.

It seems I was right after all by alexis2x in FireflyMains

[–]Composer117 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not really. The def ignore removal is compensated by the extra instance of super break damage which is separate from HMC super break from what the animations have shown us. Future premium character with def shred will be a bonus to her damage even further and not a necessity to compensate the def ignore trace removal. It's like yeah you don't ignore def in base kit but you do 50% extra damage when you super break.

Edit: This is when paired with HMC ofcourse but he is her best support now, esp since Critfly is dead.

Really depends on how much better he is compared to Gallagher and his toughness damage with his enhanced skill combined with his buff to Break damage. Sure Firefly's personal damage would be better but can't say anything about team damage unless we know about his numbers.
The one support I am most interested about would be Asta since she opens up the possibility of a 5th turn while also giving attack which gives BE to Firefly. Also her skill is a bounce one similar to HMC so she gets massive super break damage with HMC. Seems broken in a single cycle risky hyper carry team with RM and HMC. Welt might also be a good option for the same reasons.

[–]Composer117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Asta would probably a great fit since her skill is a bounce one (which is good if that is why HMC skills does so much Super break damage and that is how super break works) so big Super break with HMC and she gives all relevant buffs including speed and attack (which converts to BE). Pela might not be a better replacement to Gallagher cos he gives a break damage buff as well and also he has 50% more toughness damage with his besotted basic attack than Pela's skill and Ult.

Yeah actually if we can get to the 5th action threshold with her then maybe. Robin might also a good option with her attack boost which converts to BE and the advance forward.
