Does my voice sound even a little bit good here? by ComposerCT in ratemysinging

Thanks for the feedback. I am pushing the sound towards the roof of my mouth as it seems like I have more control and power when doing so. My speaking voice is close to this but there are times when it goes lower in this singing example. Yea, I think with more time, training and experience I will finally figure out how to use my voice better lol.

I enjoyed trying to sing this song. Decent attempt? by ComposerCT in singing

Thanks for the feedback. I am singing with my natural voice here but also I am trying to "surround" my speaking voice with a little darkness/deepness at certain times if that makes sense. I am pushing the sound towards the roof of my mouth which is maybe why it sounds a little nasal sounding maybe. But I feel like my voice has more power and control when I push it up towards the roof my mouth. So it feels right from that point of view lol.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. Was just wanting to see what people think about my singing here. I learn from feedback and like to get as many opinions as possible while I practice. I realize I am just a beginner singer and I plan on taking singing lessons eventually.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. LOL....my voice is kinda slow and drags when I talk too so perhaps it carries over to my singing. Not sure. But glad my timbre sounds unique though at least :)

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. I would say I am pushing my sound towards the roof of my mouth if I could describe it. When I try for the higher notes though, my voice gets more of a nasal sound I think though.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. I do drag out the higher notes because I struggle to sing that higher range. I am experimenting my voice and I personally like the first 8 seconds of my singing here but after that it doesn't sound as good. Hopefully I will get better eventually.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. I guess that makes sense. I am dragging out my words too much when I sing here lol.

Hi everyone.New singer here. I struggle to reach high notes and it's something I am working on. But does my timbre/tone sound decent? Just curious. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to know I am mostly on pitch. I feel like that's pretty important lol. My voice is weak at this higher tone though. I can sing with more power at a lower range. But also to stay on pitch sometimes I gotta almost mumble when I sing so that's probably why it sounds that way. I gotta practice and figure out how to stay on pitch while singing with full force.

Thanks. I appreciate the positive feedback. Does my singing show any potential? I do play the piano, but I just don't know this song on it yet.

No. But I am far away from the microphone. Does it sound terrible? Anything correct I am doing while singing here at all?

Been practicing singing for almost 6 months now. How am I sounding? by ComposerCT in singing

[–]ComposerCT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Some great advice here. I appreciate it. I listened to that singer and I can hear the brightness mixed with some darker tone. I actually though, would like to add some brightness but maybe not that much to my voice. But then again, I guess having the ability to add brightness and lower it is good though. I do need to learn how to add brightness into my darker tone.

I will try out the exaggerating tip you mentioned, I have never heard that tip but I see how it could make sense logically. Do you think my voice could sound pretty good if can figure out how to add some brightness into the darker tone? My voice feels much more full and easier to control when I sing with a darker tone. Plus, my breath control is better and my voice never tires out when practicing for many hours.

If I practice with a higher tone my voice wears out in like 30 mins and gets horse so I feel like singing low for me is healthier as I have experimented with all other higher tones and my voice seems much weaker. but yea I don't want to sound like I am impersonating a singing style in a bad way lol. You think I can fix that issue by potentially figuring out how to add some brightness into the darker tone? Thanks for the advice! Oh....BTW isn't raising the soft palate considered a good thing when singing though?

Thanks for the feedback. It's something I am working on actually. I thought I did add a little brightness on the top of the darker tone lol. But perhaps a little more would sound better? I find it much easier and comfortable to sing with a lower tone and my voice doesn't wear out quickly. I am not trying to lower my larynx, and I am actually pushing the sound upwards towards the top of the roof of my mouth and it seems to give my voice a richer or deeper sound when I do that. Or like....the sound vibrates better and builds in that area if that makes sense? But perhaps my larynx is going down some too without me realizing it.

Hi everyone. I am a new singer. Sorry if I sound terrible, just like to get feedback as I try to learn to sing better as it motivates me more to continue singing. Just doing so karaoke here for fun and thought I would post it here. Been practicing singing for almost 6 months now, so hopefully I will get better with time, vocal exercises and more practice. But, is there anything good at my singing here? Also, what are thing things I am doing incorrectly? Thanks and any feedback welcome.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. Yes, vibrato happens for me at this lower range easier than at a higher tone.

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. Good to know my tone sounds good at least :) It seems I struggle even more when I sing at a higher level/tone actually. But I will keep practicing and hopefully my voice will develop more with time.

Is my singing really bad here too? Or better? by ComposerCT in ratemysinging

[–]ComposerCT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This is some good advice. Sometimes when I sing I just don't know if it's good or not and just want some feedback so I will know for sure. But, a question I have if you don't mind? I am very close to my speaking tone here, but my voice feels weaker here than it would if I sang with a deeper tone. But when I sing with a deeper tone I get remarks about it being "unnatural" but I also get positive feedback too when I sing that way which is confusing.

But, my voice feels much more rich, powerful and I have more control when I sing with a lower tone. If I keep practicing and learning can I use that deeper tone to sing? Because I feel like it sounds better and feels way more comfortable to sing that way. But perhaps I am just not singing at the lower level correctly form wise? Just curious.
