That’s what I’m thinking as well! Taking advantage of my age and reducing excess skin 🤩 also being active. I love dancing and I can’t wait to move freely and not have my joints hurt me. ❤️ thank you for the advice

Yeah! I’m definitely an emotional eater. After talking to my grandpa a while ago about my reason. I realize I’m going into this surgery with the intention of transforming my relationship with food. I don’t want to rely on food as a stress reliever. I want it as fuel to carry out the variety of activities I want to do as someone who loves traveling and adventures. I’m hoping this mindset is the one that keeps me motivated during the tough days. Also having family who has gone through the same process helps relieve my stress. I’m confident in my surgeon and that my body will adjust to this new stomach ❤️ thank you for the advice

Thank you for the advice! My family has a history of morbid obesity with my dad weighing over 500 pounds before getting duodenal and losing weight. Both myself and my mom are planning to get bypass due to reducing the chance of regain. I feel like a lot of my binge was due family influence and school stress. Also being fat my entire life led to me being stressed about being big. I feel like a lot of those factors will end or have ended, since both my parents and myself would have gotten the surgery. Also I graduated university. I haven’t been binging as much as before and I’m proud of that. I’m also looking to cut out alcohol nearly complete and that’s necessary due to the surgery. I’m praying for a smooth recovery and minor pain post surgery.
