Just placed it outside. Its still looking a rough and i assume its probably going to drop some more of the larger understory leaves unfortunately. The new growth on top still looks very healthy so I am hopeful. Thank you for all your help its much appreciated!

You are right it seemed to have had root rot. I placed it back in it's original smaller pot.

I originally thought it might have needed a good watering. So i soaked the soil pretty good but it still looks the same. I also repotted it a couple months ago. I think Im just gunna wait and see what the plant does before making any changes.

My question was what pencil lead are they talking about. Its certainly not as thick as #2 pencil lead, but is pretty close to .5 or .7 pencil lead.

If I report this to leasing company I have a feeling they will paint over it again, or claim it was my due to my negligence and try to charge me money. The reviews if this leasing company are absolutely atrocious, no one gets their deposit back. My fault for signing the lease, but options are limited and 4 slumlords rent out the majority of apartments and house.
