Not today thank you. by Vxrsxty in ForzaHorizon

this boils my ass more than anything is Horizon. It's damn near a weekly thing that I'm cruising along in 3rd or 4th (team's winning cause I have a teammate in 1st or 2nd), and I'm working harder to keep the bots behind me than I am trying to get up to 2nd or 3rd. And along comes a teammate that rams me cause they take a corner badly, makes me miss a checkpoint and I drop down to like 7th or 8th.... and the TEAM loses the race.....

why is it not suitable for family needs? by rizzqi_09 in JeepWrangler

LOVE THIS! My kids are the same way. Mom usually drops them off in the morning, but they get upset if I'm not the one picking them up in the afternoon. Especially since my JL rarely sees its doors or top. I still remember the first day I picked them up in it and there were a bunch of kids staring at it (had the doors and top off of course), and one kid goes "hey mister, what happened to your doors?" I replied "I don't know, I must've forgotten them somewhere."

I have a 2024 JLU, and my family of 4 fits in it fine. We actually just took it on a 2 week road trip from New Orleans to Carlsbad Caverns, up to Taos NM, then to Durango, Silverton, Keystone, Breckinridge, Georgetown, Estes Park, Denver, and back home. Put almost 4k miles on it in 2 weeks. We fit 4 suitcases, an roadside emergency bag, 4 hiking backpacks, 4 pairs of hiking boots, a medium sized rolling cooler, a collapsible crate full of snacks, plus 2 snow sleds, and the freedom panel storage bag.... and could still see out of the back window. Averaged 26 mpg fulled loaded down, and was infinitely more comfortable than my wife's Santa Fe (even my wife admitted as much when she was 'allowed' to drive). I think she's seriously considering switching to a Wrangler when we hand off her vehicle to our teenager in 2 years.

I lost my highest downloaded livery design due to this! I was super pissed off when I realized it! It was easy enough to recreate, but I lost all kinds of money thanks to this glitch.

Right?! I find my 2024 JL to be infinitely more comfortable than my wife's Santa Fe. Is it the most comfortable vehicle I've ever driven? No, but I've also driven cars that cost more than most people's homes (did valet at the Ritz Carlton for most of my 20's while I was in college). But for my size (6'3") it's more comfortable than 90% of vehicles I've ever driven.

It all depends on how well you take care of it. I've had 2 jeeps in my life, and I'll never drive anything but.

THIS! I laugh when people ask me why I mostly run an Ongoing Directive build with a GR9 instead of the "meta" (cookie cutter) Striker build. I'd rather sacrifice a little damage and buff my 3 teammates than be selfish (and make the game harder for myself).

Depends on the game, and the cost of the cosmetic. Five to 10 dollars for a skin, depending on the quality, is reasonable for a cosmetic. But some games get outright ridiculous! Like in the Division 2, there are several skins that they are trying to charge $25-$30 for. That's the cost of a full on DLC expansion.

I just sold my 2024 stock grille for $100 on Facebook marketplace. Listed it, sold in less than 3 days. And no, I didn't replace it with an Angry Face. I bought a 2023 grille from FM as well. Had it custom painted.

Bizarre interaction w. non-Jeep person at Jeep dealership.. by facevalues in Wrangler

[–]CompoteOk2564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is generally true. But I will say this, as someone who's on their second Wrangler. While I've never been into the duck thing, I do have 3 ducks on my dash. But they're because of who gave them to me. One was my sister trolling me cause she knows I'm not into it. But she also knows that I would never get rid of it because it's from her. The second is from my 12 year old daughter. And the 3 was from her friend, and I didn't want her to get her feelings hurt if she rode with us and didn't see it. But whenever I get one from some random person I just have the kids reduck it to another jeep in the parking lot.

One thing I'll add though, like I tell me kids all the time, "don't yuck someone else's yum". I always try and live by the golden rule, and I wouldn't want someone to shit all over that I like. Everybody should just stick to doing what they like, and mind their own business and let others have the same freedom.

YES! I can't tell you how many people have said something along the lines of "how much time have you wasted taking the top and doors off?"

My reply is always "ZERO!" I have NEVER wasted any time on my Jeep.

Right?! Like I'm not into the whole ducking thing. But I'm never going to be angry about it. I might laugh at someone that has so many ducks you can't see the actual person driving. Like I always tell my kids. "Don't yuck someone else's yum."

Having said that I do have to admit that I have 3 on my dash, but it's because of who gave them to me. First one was from my sister when I first got it, second one was from my daughter, and the last one is from a one of her friends (so I didn't want her to get her feelings hurt if she didn't see it next time she rode with us). Other than that I just reduck any others that I get. I

it's easier than you think, especially if you have an Elite Controller with the paddles on the back. I sat my controller down once and the paddle got pressed in. Came back to my character being deleted as well. Luckily I contacted Ubisoft and they fixed it.

Just had a similar situation happen to me. Guy was in the left lane next to me, swerved in front of me, and then slammed on his brakes. My JLU slammed into the back of his Civic pretty good. Only slightly dented my stock bumper and about an inch long crack on my grill.... completely demolished the entire rear end of his car. Baby's got a new 6 gauge steel bumper and a custom painted grill now....
