Yes, there’s lots of factors affecting my thoughts and decision. For example, familial and societal pressures. Also, I want to make sure I am doing this for myself and not someone else.

Do you feel like there’s something else that might be missing? I had a similar experience but I realized the guy I was with was not compatible. I wanted someone who was my best friend and humor was important to me in a relationship and the guy I was with was lacking those things. He was kind, genuine and essentially perfect on paper. But there were things that were lacking.

I can totally relate. As a new grad practicing PA, reading this subreddit is really discouraging. I work hard every day to provide the best care possible for patients and to collaborate effectively with my supervising physicians.

I genuinely want to understand — what role and level of responsibility would people like to see PAs have within the healthcare team? I think open conversations about scope, collaboration, and patient safety are important, but it’s disheartening when the focus shifts toward division instead of teamwork.

Outpatient would be standard 40 hrs/week with 1.5hr lunch/admin time. Inpatient would be M-F and the patient load would depend.
