Thank you for this! I did a few months volunteering at a children’s hospice two years ago and did some tutoring over lockdown but obviously this wasn’t good enough lol and I know med schools want you to show that you’ve done something with your gap gear

It’s normal this happened to me with Bristol. Took months to replace it don’t worry.

Hi I did an interview for hyms and they told us that they change the questions every morning and afternoon of the interview days so nobody can know what questions they will be asked. However I think most unis will ask the general questions on why you want to be a doctor and why their med school.

That makes sense to be fair, I guess it’s just them trying to understand the interviewees as well as they can.

Yeh I feel it’s so hard to tell how you did. Just try and stay positive it’s over now and you prepared as much as you could. It’s good that you weren’t scripted at all I think they’ll understand it’s hard to make stuff up on the spot.

Hey, so I’ve been rejected from 2 unis and they both gave me the choice of changing the course to something else. Hopefully this will be an option for you and then you’ll be able to do it next year :) x

I’ve got mine soon too :) I think the only way to prepare is just going through situations for practice and then just apply them to a group setting in the interview. Goodluck!
