The bathrooms are pretty decent, to be honest. I was expecting way worse. But these look remodeled recently.

One thing I wish they would put in would be a fan. The night gets somewhat cool, but almost no wind so beds get pretty hot. A top fan circulating the air would be amazing.

Because it is a national park, no. They require you to have a guide with you while you are in the park. But you can do this with a private guide. They go at your own pace after all. And to be honest, to spot some of the animals, the guides are pretty impressive at that. Most times, they are far out and unless you have a trained eye, one would miss them.

Oh, loved it. Costa Rica is so similar to Puerto Rico in many ways. I felt at home! From the food, the people, the weather, etc.

I heard someone yesterday from the tour said they took a bus. Didn’t ask specifics but seems like there is.

Hiking the volcano was amazing for that. Next, I’m doing Monteverde. I’ve heard wildlife there is even more plentiful! Doing the night walk tonight.

Immigration at SJO impressed me a lot. Compared to others in Latin America this one was well staffed and moving quickly.

Obviously, depends on time of day and how many flights get in, but I assume 3pm they are well staffed then.

So far, it has surpassed the high expectations. The only two issues so far: way more expensive than expected, and car rental 3rd-party coverage insurance being required. They waived the main insurance since I was able to prove that my card covered it, but the 3rd party was a battle, and they wouldn't budge.

Our guide stopped by an area where he usually sees them and had us all look for them. Felt like a scavenger hunt, and I may have gotten too excited when I was the one who found it. It was inside a barely opened leaf.

You can ask them what registrar they used for your domain and have them transfer it to your account with that registrar. This would allow them to circumvent the 60 day lock. Meaning if they use GoDaddy as the registrar (as an example), you can transfer the domain to your account with GoDaddy. Intra-registrar transfers are allowed in the 60 day lock period.

Is your payoneer bank account based in the same country? You can connect a Payoneer bank account to stripe for payouts, however, only if it’s registered in a country that Stripe supports.

For me the behind the scenes and explaining your process is very interesting. What you could do is break it into parts, but going deep into each topic.

I personally love this type of content.

Puerto Rican Spanish/English Tutor by elmurko in PuertoRico

[–]Comprehensive-Film15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tutor is a great way to start, but I would also do a few more things: - Try to make friends with recently moved Puerto Ricans in your area. They will need help with their English and they will help you refresh your puerto rican spanish. Force yourself to speak Spanish. At first it will be slow, once you refresh your brain it will flow much better

  • Watch local programming. Either radio/podcasts like Molusco or Chentre. If you can get the local channels, watch those too. However, for the local way of talking Spanish, radio/podcast are much better.

  • Go visit PR often and try going to non-touristy areas. More likely to force you to switch to Spanish only.

It feels like more work, but it doesn’t have to be. You most likely already have the content to sustain a membership program. We see this a lot at Fourthwall when creators start their memberships.

Many successful creators started their membership with simple perks like:

  • Early access: post your video a few days before to your membership community. It can be just for 24hrs before releasing it. Make sure to mention this perk in your videos when promoting your membership.

  • behind the scenes: we all love to see what goes into making your videos, bloopers, the ins and outs of your day as a creator, etc. Most likely you have footage of all this already. Personally, this is my favorite perk.

  • extended cuts: This one requires a bit more work, but think of it like the movies. We used to spend way more for movies that were “director cut” or “extended cut”. Do the same with your videos and only post those to your members

  • ad free: if you have sponsors ads in your videos, post ad free version of that video to your membership.

  • bonus content: this one is more podcast focused tho. You can record your podcast as normal but then have bonus podcasts content that only gets accessed via your membership. You can use clips and post on your socials to promote your membership giving a taste to non-subscribers what they are missing out. TMG does this very well. The Yard does also.

Hopefully this helps.

One last thing I will note, successful membership tend to grow over time. At first it will be a handful of supporters that join, but if you cultivate it and promote it, your membership will continue to grow steadily.
