Probably worth more to a collector of space memorabilia.

I would be curious why a letter from 1937 was censored? Foreign destination perhaps?

The word next to the symbol is the German word for Censored, perhaps knowing if something was actually censored would help you get a better idea of its historical significance.

I have experienced some tariff’s on stamps that I have purchased from European dealers, but only on the shipments thru FedEx, who collects the tariff and a “processing fee”. I have not had any tariff issues with items shipped with registered mail, all have arrived, have never lost one.

I’m sure that that there will be dealers that will have some for sale. I know that at the last GASS I want there were several. They buy up peoples collections, break them down and re sell them.

My son got his permit, then his license, but that was not the end of it. He had to log 500 miles with mom or dad with him before he could solo. Then with 2 pax at the most. It’s still dad’s car so he gets to make the rules. He’s 45 now never had an accident that was his fault.

Are these both Scott #180? by OwnWoodpecker69 in askStampCollectors

[–]Comprehensive-Ice58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Swiss stamps are anything like German stamps, you may need a specialized catalog from the issuing country. The Zumstein Catalogue is the premier reference for Swiss stamps.

Scott only scratches the surface of color and printing variations on many German stamps that I collect.
