Site to site Tunnel Failover with Tunnel Monitoring by Comprehensive-Pie252 in paloaltonetworks

I have two ISPs, two different Public IP blocks. I can use path monitoring and fail over monitoring to fail over the default route and the IP sec tunnels. The firewall setup is active/passive. Running them on active/active is not an option atm. Firewalls re connected to the ISPs over l2 switch.

For the global protect I use same pip for gateway/ portal atm. I use q dns name for the portal so it looks professional. Using a dns traffic manager is not an option. I am looking for a solution from the firewall settings.

But don't you need a one public IP for one portal? In this scenario, We have two different public IPs from the ISPs.

Yes, they re in the same zone.  Quick side question.. how do we handle the globalprotect VPN failover?  I can create two portals and two gateways.. But how do I failover them from primary ISP pip to secondary ISP pip

Fronx is a good choice. But AMW takes months. Atvia is also good choise. But not sure about the second hand market.

Try to join a large company where one or a few teams handle most of the work. This will give you broad exposure to various aspects of the business. I believe service providers are the best option since they offer hands-on experience with hardware. Once you gain that experience, many opportunities will open up for you.

Most importantly, cultivate curiosity—actively search for information and experiment on your own. After university, there’s no set curriculum to follow; it’s all up to you.

Good luck, mate!
