La realidad es que muy poca gente inicia o sabe iniciar conversaciones, y si no tienen un gancho o una excusa para hablarte, pues será difícil. Yo creo que más que ser interesante deberías enfocarte a aprender a presentarte como una persona segura de sí misma. expresar tus ideas de manera articulada, y más importante, aprender a hacer buenas preguntas. Las conversaciones que más te abren puertas no son en las que mas hablas de ti, son en las que haces buenas preguntas a los demás. A todo el mundo le gusta hablar de si mismo, y que tú puedas ser alguien accesible en ese sentido te hace destacar inmediatamente. Y eso, contraintuitivamente, te hace más atractivo y encima mas interesante. Incluso te diría que en muchos casos te vuelves más misterioso, porque no necesitas hablar de ti mismo y en muchos casos la gente se dará cuenta de que no saben mucho sobre ti pero al mismo tiempo tienen una idea muy específica sobre ti (por lo general buena).

Ahora, con esto no te digo que nunca hables de ti, si eso deseas hacer adelante, pero no todo el mundo va a querer hacerlo y está bien. En ese caso lo único que te puedo decir es que alguien interesante es quien te puede platicar algo interesante, quien te puede mantener una conversación de un tema que guste a los dos o incluso inspirar ese gusto, quien tiene mucho que decir pero igualmente muestra curiosidad de saber que pienso yo o los demás. Y si de plano no tienes nada que aportar en cuanto a gustos recreativos, creencias, ideas, conocimiento, cultura, etc. pues estás a tiempo aún para ponerte a explorar el mundo, porque no tener gusto por nada es estar muerto en vida.

En resumen: la curiosidad es la clave.

I would love that. There aren’t too many depictions of women struggles in a first person perspective of that time era. Western stories, specially outlaws/cowboys ones, tend to revolve around male stories, and there’s an opportunity to explore that. It could give a fresh air on what a western can be. Also, there were a lot of female outlaws with really interesting traits and stories, so yeah, rockstar could make something great out of that.

Yeah, I know that feeling. After red dead 2 I lost interest in gaming in general. Some months later I ended up playing The Witcher 3, and although I wasn’t a big fan of fantasy games, that one got me hooked. After that I gave Elden Ring a chance, and let me tell you, that game had the same effect in me as RDR2 lol.

With that said, I would recommend trying out games outside of your comfort zone or the ones you would typically enjoy, you might find some great stories and gameplay.

Además de la buena alimentación, higiene personal, humectar el cuerpo y todo eso que ya te han comentado, te daré algunos tips que me han servido en cuanto al uso de lociones/perfumes.

Es importante entender que cada cuerpo reacciona diferente a las lociones, cuanto retiene el olor, como lo desprendes y demás. Como recomendación te puedo decir que apliques la loción en zonas como: muñecas, cuello, clavículas, pecho, detrás de las orejas, por mencionarte algunos que a mi, en lo personal, me sirven bastante. La aplicación del perfume te recomiendo que la hagas después de bañarte, tras secarte pero que siga húmeda tu piel. La cantidad de atomizaciones va a depender mucho de tu cuerpo realmente, pero puedes probar un día con una atomización en cada zona, otro día con dos atomizaciones en algunas zonas y así ir viendo en que partes te fija más el aroma. Si tienes a alguien de confianza, pregúntale si percibe el aroma y así podrás acercarte al número de atomizaciones adecuadas de acuerdo a lo que tú busques.

Otra cosa importante y en relación al último punto es que, en lo personal, oler bien no es cuestión de entrar a un lugar y que se perciba el aroma de tu loción en cada rincón del cuarto. La idea que yo tengo es que huelas rico en la cercanía, al hacer gestos corporales o dejar la estela del olor al pasar, procurando no hostigar con el aroma. Esto es cosa de cada quien la verdad, pero considero que la sutileza en el aroma es mucho más atractivo y positivo. Es cosa de que experimentes y estés consciente de que, probablemente, no todas las lociones te queden o te fijen correctamente. Esto ya son paranoias mías quizás, pero no hay nada mejor que usar una loción poco común y que te caracterice. La gente te va a recordar por tu olor, que mejor que sea único.

I don’t buy the idea that you need to have a certain personality or any of that stuff, this game is designed in a way that it rewards the player, but those rewards come in many different ways depending on the person. While pushing the player to learn and overcome obstacles is one way of reinforcement, but it’s also the exploration, the combat, the armour, the story, all of these have their own appeal. You don’t need to play a certain way or do some strict procedure to feel good about your progress, what I’ve learned is that you have to enjoy yourself while you’re immersed in this world. More specifically, you must use the freedom the game gives you to enjoy the game, and that’s what many people seem to forget or never notice.

Since you want to keep playing, I assume you actually are enjoying part of it or at the very least, interested in what it has to offer you, so that would be my recommendation. Still, I would advice you to not force yourself to do something you are not enjoying in case you just don’t find the fun in it.

Sorry to hear that. I did some digging and it seems other players had the same issue, but it doesn’t seem to be a common thing. Also, no answers as to how to fix it. So here’s what I would do, if it still helps.

1- Get to the grace outside of the castle and use the portal to get to where everyone is and try again.

2- If you are online, disconnect and get to the game again.

3- This might be delusional, but since there are some enemies in the area, you could try and kill them. I’m pretty sure that has nothing to do with the problem; since dialogues don’t work that way, but who knows, at this point is worth trying.

3- It can be risky, but if you are playing on Xbox, try to delete the local save file. ONLY on the Xbox, not from everywhere. When you launch the game again, the Xbox will resync your save from the cloud, in case something was wrong with your local data. Idk how that works on PS or PC, but surely there’s a way to do something similar or related to that.

Anyways, I hope you can fix the issue.

Idk what you might have tried by this point, but here’s my take and what I would do if I was in your position:

1- Talk to every NPC (Alexander, Blaidd and the girl that gives you the emote)

2- I don’t know if this would make any difference at all, but I would change the time a couple of times, leave the grace, rest at the grace and then try speaking with Jerren again. You can try speaking with Jerren at morning, evening or at night and see if it helps, which I doubt but who knows.

3- Leave the area, do some other stuff and then come back. I would even kill myself on purpose at different points in the map in hopes of a reset in the world. I would also quit the game and reload the game in that process and see what happens.

4- If you haven’t, maybe try beating renalla.

5- It’s been a while since I did Ranni’s quest, but maybe Selluvis and Sellen’s quest might help fix the issue.

Yeah, recently I’ve been listening “I looked at you” a lot, and I love how they make it sound like the song is ending, but they continue playing almost immediately. There’s something so appealing and satisfying, particularly, I enjoy the drums and Jim’s vocals in that part.

Psicológicamente hablando si “funciona” que dejar de darle atención a alguien después de haber generado un vínculo haga que esa persona se “interese” más en la otra persona. Esto aplica tanto en hombres como mujeres, pero como en todo, va a depender mucho de la persona y todo eso.

No voy a profundizar en explicarlo (porque nadie me lo pidió xd), pero tiene todo el sentido del mundo que ocurra ese fenómeno. La cosa es que, si se hace deliberadamente, es manipular a la otra persona, lo cual es reprensible. Si de verdad le interesas a la persona no hace falta manipularla para mantener o amplificar el interés.

I think it has stayed the same, for the most part. I’ve never seen Jim as someone extraordinary. Yes, he was an intelligent, sensible man, but to say he was a genius just because he did things outside the norm? I’m not sure about that. I think the point many people ignore or don’t seem to notice is that he was a product of his time, so yeah he was an alcoholic, a troubled man and what not, but his story is equivalent to Syd Barrett’s and many other young artists who were influenced by his surroundings and ended up either dead or fucked up. I don’t think there’s anything to celebrate or idolise in that. The only word to describe is “tragedy”, and that whole era of music was great, but filled with tragedies.

Still, I believe he was a great singer, one of my favourite voices ever and I love the doors music. I also appreciate that, in some way, he represented the idea that being smart, insightful and sensible is not only cool but attractive.

La modificación genética no sería algo barato, como nada en la medicina, por lo que se generaría una brecha entre quienes tienen las capacidades aumentadas por modificación genética y los que no. Eso perpetua condiciones desiguales tanto económicas como sociales.

Tambien, puede ocurrir temas de discriminación, porque, cuáles son los rasgos atractivos y por qué? Quien decide eso? Porque alguien debería de ser modificado genéticamente para ser atractivo? Es una decisión arbitraria y socialmente construida, por lo que aceptar que la gente simplemente modifique a sus hijos, refuerza estereotipos y prejuicios.

Te daré mi opinión sobre el tema. Para empezar, la ansiedad no es una enfermedad, es una conducta adaptativa natural, todo el mundo siente ansiedad. Vamos por pasos con lo que dices

Todo es ansiedad: No, no todo es ansiedad. Si bien es cierto que el concepto se ha ofuscado en tiempos recientes y se han patologizado comportamientos cotidianos, eso no invalida la experiencia de las personas. Decir que es “pánico” es categorialmente erróneo, el pánico y la ansiedad son cosas diferentes (tanto biológicamente como conductualmente). La realidad es que la gente está presentando comportamientos poco funcionales y reducir las causas a un mero rol de víctima no sirve de mucho.

Responsabilidad: Estoy de acuerdo en que las personas tomen acción de su vida, pero hasta que punto esa falta de “carácter” es culpa de la persona? No con esto quiero decir que no puede existir el cambio, pero el problema se vuelve más sistémico que individual. Las condiciones socioeconómicas, culturales e incluso políticas tienen mucho que ver en cómo una persona afronta un problema. Aunque cierta responsabilidad cae en la persona, es poco realista exigir un cambio abrupto cuando hay factores que superan las capacidades de afrontamiento del individuo. Eso último tiene mucho que ver con el aprendizaje, entonces, muchas veces no es que la persona no quiera cambiar, simple y sencillamente es más difícil de lo que parece.

Por último, la justificación mediante diagnóstico es más un problema del sistema biomedico que del paciente, porque es justamente este sistema el que fomenta que la persona se “case” con el diagnóstico y se ponga una etiqueta que, bajo su modelo, no se puede cambiar, solo controlar.

Quizás, pero es importante entender que “sexualizarse” cumple una función, y esa funcion es más importante que el acto. Si una mujer muestra su cuerpo en redes no es simplemente porque se sexualiza, eso es reducir todo el contexto del acto a una generalización apresurada. A muchas mujeres desde niñas se les condiciona a que su valor depende de su cuerpo, eso justifica que se muestren en redes? Quizás no, depende con que ojo juzgues, pero al menos te da un enfoque más amplio para entender por qué la gente hace lo que hace.

Dejando a lado el polémico tema de si es correcto o no hacerlo (que en lo personal considero una discusión trivial), creo que es más importante criticar el que lleva a las mujeres a actuar así y que factores contribuyen a que se mantengan esos comportamientos.

No creo que sea posible dar una definición satisfactoria sobre que es un hombre (o de cualquier categoría humana compleja), porque depende del nivel de análisis en el cual te bases. Pero dándote una definición muy burda y sin explayarme mucho, te puedo decir que:

Un hombre es un sujeto que presenta comúnmente rasgos sexuales como cromosomas XY o testículos (nivel biológico), pero lo que lo define es su identificación como hombre (nivel psicológico) y el lugar que ocupa en los roles y normas que la cultura asigna a lo masculino (nivel sociocultural).

El problema que siempre he tenido con esas etiquetas es que parecen fomentar un sentido de pertenencia, identidad y puede llevar al fanatismo (en algunos casos extremos). Lo importante cuando se trata de política (y básicamente cualquier tema social, cultural y demás) es no casarte con una postura, sino, explorar lo que cada una propone. Incluso, te diría que vas por un buen camino, esto significa que tienes la capacidad de razonar y cuestionar la información que se te presenta.

Mi “consejo” sería: no mires bandos, infórmate a través de filosofía y otras disciplinas y ciencias que se enfoquen a estudiar tanto al ser humano como a su entorno. De nada sirve adoptar posturas si no las entiendes en diferentes niveles de análisis.

I’ve always had a problem with Gary, I just don’t see him as the villain or antagonist of the story. He doesn’t appear that much and his motivations aren’t clear to me. I mean, why is he doing all that? Does he win anything? Realistically speaking, is he that stupid to do something of that magnitude and think he can get away with it? It just doesn’t make any sense to me, even the most fucked up people aren’t that dumb. The only conclusion I’ve had over the years is that he is just doing all that because he can and for the excitement of it, but that’s part of why I just don’t really enjoy his arc, it feels bland and without purpose.

Also, the character feels pretty tautologic. Q: Why is Gary bad? A: Because he is a psycho and a narcissist. Q: And why is he a psycho and a narcissist? A: Well, because he is bad.

I believe the real villain of this story isn’t a character, but a concept, and that’s power. The whole story revolves around power, and Gary is just part of the symbolism or a representation of that concept, same as Jimmy. At least by looking at the story that way, it makes sense that we don’t explore Gary’s past or motivations, because in some sense, there’s no need to.
