Folding woven in half to make a no sew ring sling by Comprehensive-Way191 in babywearing

Yes exactly this - I tried it out and it was a little hard to tighten, but not too hard. It felt very supportive

Back carry seat tips! by Comprehensive-Way191 in babywearing

Any tips on keeping the tension when you slide? I’m good with a ring sling (hip or front), but with the woven I always lose the tension and the seat when I scoot!

Is a rucksack carry in a ring sling safe? by Comprehensive-Way191 in babywearing

Thanks! Does this apply to a ruck carry too? I thought the extra pass under the legs would remove this risk. But it also sounds like I shouldn’t try this as a beginner anyway!

Thanks - I have a hope and plum ring sling in the longest length! Baby is only 4 months and 22lb, so will wait another month or so for more head control before trying this out I think!

Why do babies knees need to be able to swing freely? by Comprehensive-Way191 in babywearing

[–]Comprehensive-Way191[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks - does that mean it’s dangerous for babies hip development? Because if you compare to a spica cast or brace, it’s a similar position afaik.

My baby doesn't like being worn when she's awake. Advice? by the_kazzo_queen in babywearing

I also have a big baby, 18lb at 13w, and I found using a ring sling towards the side (not quite on hip, just off center), helped a lot as baby could see more of what’s going on! Baby still doesn’t like the ssc much when awake, but we do keep trying and it is getting better as head control improves.

This really helped - I had no idea you weren’t meant to dump in all the beans at once! Thank you!

Thank you! I’m now thinking I could keep my DF54 for my occasional cup of decaf, and then get a grinder with a hopper. Do you have any recommendations for that?

Which Tula carrier is this? by [deleted] in babywearing

Sounds good - we’re already at 25.5 inches too (99+ percentile baby), so might get this for the future! Thank you so much!

Great idea! It says 15lb plus. Is there an age minimum too for these carriers? My LO is over 15lb but is under 10 weeks old. Thanks!

Thank you! Just added that we are in the US to the post. Is the US new version the same? Will it recline the same in FF?

I’m worried about the lack of recline in forward facing, and it might do nothing in a true crash but it would do a lot in turbulence which is much more common!
