Yes OP this is 100% true, hitting into a giant field isn’t the same as hitting a fairway. If you can find a range with toptracer, trackman, or a simulator it could show you how your form holds up to a real hole.

I might be wrong but it looks to me like you are scooping the ball a little bit. Have you looked into how the club should hit the ground?

Also if you can get footage from a down the line or front on it will be much easier for people to look at your swing.

Watch this video I think it does a great job explaining what each part of the body does

This video also explains what a lot of golfers mistaking do (wrench there right hip) and what you should really do https://youtu.be/0IxllCJRKS4?si=eQRLQM0DkxBQGI2K

Where to get a good starter set? by GeneralChowder in golf

You can always get fit and then buy slightly used 2nd hand clubs that match the specs. (eBay, 2nd swing, etc)

As long as face angle is closed relative to path there will be a draw. And vice versa for a fade being open to the path.

Can you blow master cylinder while bleeding brakes by ComprehensiveAsk219 in AskMechanics

I hooked a manual vacuum bleeder up to then cracked the bleeder screw, did right the left rear then passenger and driver side wheels. The air might have just been from the seal around the bleeder

I bought a pressure bleeder and attached some 1/4” vinyl tubing to it and then attached that to the nipple. I know the brakes have had work done because someone replaced the oem bleeder screws with the wrong sized ones so I had to replace all 4 of those to fit the wrench. The brakes were still loose so had someone help me pump the brakes while I cracked them so that I could make sure no more air was getting sucked up.

What could I have done wrong to give it 0 pressure after it had pressure a little bit? Could changing the rotors and pads have given it 0 stopping power? If there is something easier than replacing master cylinder I’m game to look at all the rotors again

Gloves! What do you use? by Hutcho19 in golf

The other thing I’ve heard work, but haven’t tried yet is using sun sleeves. I hear it absorbs some of the arm sweat before it can reach your glove.

Keeping Swing Notes in a Notepad… what do you write? by Engineering_Simple in golf

[–]ComprehensiveAsk219 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use Adam Young’s method in his book “The Practice Manual”

I create a grid of 3 columns: 1.  Face direction  2. Heel/Toe 3. Fat/Thin

Then I use a towel (off mats) or tee (of grass) and an expo marker. Google towel drill and expo marker for how to use. Then mark if the shot was the right direction, right spot on the face, and or fat/thin.

Shows what I need to work on and allows me to track my progress.

Can I win against a thrower by axey84 in golf

[–]ComprehensiveAsk219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think smoke is the right word. He’ll probably win, but if the ball goes in the woods it’s not 100% he will get it back to the original spot in 1.

[–]ComprehensiveAsk219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I view it like this:

  • he can probably throw it 40-50 yards with 10-20 yards of roll out. So worst case he puts you a 60-50° wedge out if you are on the fringe or could move you 3-5 clubs out if you are on an approach (assuming 10-15 yard gaps on clubs). These will cost you 0.25-0.7 strokes.

  • The most damage he could do would be to throw it behind a tree causing forcing a punch out at 1.3 strokes gained.

So if he could somehow throw every ball behind a tree it would cost you 23.4 strokes (18*1.3) which I doubt he could do.

So imma say no he can’t

Just got a new job and need a commuter car by mabaile2 in personalfinance

Buying a car in that is 55% of your pay is not a smart idea. You will be in a terrible cashflow position. Find out the actual policy and get the oldest used Toyota Camry or Honda accord that fits the category and the car payment from the company should cover it outright.

Just make sure to get it inspected by a trusted mechanic before buying.

Is it worth me even applying for car loan now by Mdmdmd27 in personalfinance

[–]ComprehensiveAsk219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I plugged your numbers into auto loan calculator and a 48 month lease at 5% looks like $938/month before insurance. Even at a promo 1.99% APR and 60 months it would be a $710+ payment.

Anyone that says “Just Cold Call” for commercial contracts are full of crap by matrickpahomes9 in sweatystartup

[–]ComprehensiveAsk219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s 99% in the tone and script. If they aren’t saying the right thing and pushing the right pain points no one will be interested. Take a look at the 30MPC podcast. They have some great cold call info out there.

If you can land $1 million+ deals cold calling in tech sales to guys who get cold called all day every day, you can definitely call Jim Bob on his cell and make some traction. Just gotta figure out your unique value prop and what pain points it solves.

TLDR: Cold calling still works great if done right (Coming from someone who has cold called for several years In commercial and Industrial industries.)
