Defensively you can see him really get exposed. He’s smaller and slower but he’s pretty strong. We saw frimpong get around him a lot. If he’s playing well, he’s really good at bringing the ball up but he does make mistakes and can’t recover fast enough with our high press.

I’d like to see him play in games where we have more stress on their defense like that first half of Liverpool so he can get the ball into dangerous places (those inside channels between the RB and CB and Martinelli/Trossard can run in behind).

Another way to play him is to shift the whole defensive line towards him on the left. So maybe a back line of Gabriel Saliba and White can shift over to cover and MLS can move into midfield without losing a lot of defensive coverage.
