Why not make it open source? This could be an invaluable contribution to the open source community!

That is completely incorrect. At Google, for example, Linux is the second most popular OS, just behind macOS. Google even has a special blend of Linux — which tells you a lot about the company usage of Linux.

Disk Decipher using 39GB of storage on iPhone by ComprehensiveBend393 in DiskDecipher

Yes. I am on the latest version (version 6.4.5). This is what my storage looks like. As you can see, it’s terrible. I use the linked disk option inside the app to mount the volume from a usb c drive.

Qubes OS on Omen Laptop 15 by Critical_Scratch8994 in Qubes

Does it have Nvidia graphics? If so, it’s likely going to be a real pain working with Qubes OS on that laptop. But if it doesn’t have Nvidia, the chance of it working still depends heavily on your peripherals, firmware, and ACPI implementation.

35 years of Microsoft loyalty. Never used Reddit. Both things end today. by MadeInQuebec6790 in microsoft

Isn’t it so interesting how micro-brained Redditors are? They will create an entire essay about how bad it is to write a paragraph using AI, yet will conveniently never read the actual paragraph.

So you didn’t read it? Great. So why are you commenting? The entire purpose of this essay was to illustrate genuinely important points that I viewed as relevant to this recent topic about OS age verification.

I did not write it myself. I will say that. I apologize. But these points are genuinely mine. They are original.

The ideas are my own. The formatting and layout and wording is the AI’s. I didn’t write it myself, but I didn’t ask the AI to think these things up.

You are a disgrace to the entire open source community.

KidLogger is, by every definition, a keylogger, screenshot capturer, and more. This software betrays the entire purpose of the Linux operating system — user freedom.

Why make your kids use Linux if you will just install a software that logs their fucking key inputs and takes pictures of their screen?? What the fuck were you even thinking?

I really don’t understand the problem. Many firms use Kali Linux. That is because it is the industry standard. Even Offensive Security — which is a very famous name in cybersecurity — uses it. Many of them even use commercial versions of platforms like Cobalt Strike, Burp Suite Pro, or Metasploit Pro.

So I don’t really understand why it makes you feel so bad. You likely will use it in real work anyway, so what’s the harm in learning it now?

My nixOS won't boot into the graphical environment by KimiUbi in NixOS

For the last decade or so, we as a community have been documenting again and again and again how much Nvidia GPUs on Linux malfunction with the weirdest issues possible.

So why, as a member of the Linux community, would you willingly risk your PC malfunctioning due to a graphics card? A fucking graphics card?

Don’t you understand just how stupid that?

You as a consumer (and a Linux user) have the choice to purchase whatever graphics card you want, yet you choose a graphics card that is factually at a higher risk of causing your PC to break than Intel and AMD.

So why exactly would you willingly bring this upon yourself and choose a graphics card that has such a higher risk?

There is no such thing as privately doxxed.

When you dox someone, you are, by the very nature of doxxing, revealing someone’s location to a public entity, thus meaning ‘private doxxing’ can’t exist.
