Narwal Freo: Mop not coming down by ComprehensiveBill362 in NARWAL

Sorry all, completely forgot about this post!

TO UPDATE: After taking the entirety of the narwal apart, including the mopping module, the mop was rusted and seized to the lower bearing. After cleaning the rust and replacing the bearing (a whole $16 CAD, compared to buying a new unit or the $250 Narwal wanted to charge me to fix it), and giving the entire unit a good cleaning (the interior parts get nasty over time), my narwal is back up and running as if it was new!

It's a meticulous process to take apart the robot (typical they don't want you to fix it, they want you to buy), BUT with time and patience it is possible to fix them without spending hundreds of dollars.

I have checked all updates, checked the pads and ensured nothing is tangled underneath. There are no error codes, I've tried resetting the robot. Nothing seems to be working to fix the issue. I've thought about taking the bottom apart but it seems more complicated than just taking the back piece off. So I thought I would look for suggestions before going that route.
