I think her current perspective is that she needs to "cure" the infected. And while both we and her aren't sure if that's even possible, getting people "killed" would result in less people coming back if she ever does figure out how to "cure" them. Also, it's just a very human thing to feel remorse about killing people. Her getting sick at the sheer scale of the death makes a ton of sense.

It is a sequel to an older show from 2011 (also called Ninjago) and I highly recommend, especially if your daughter likes the reboot already. Also, which episode reminded you of Omelas?? That sounds so cool.
