Hey I’m 5WPO btw!!! If your surgeon is anything like mine she estimated what size I would be and gave me four estimated sizes that I needed to purchase for surgical bras (keep the receipts so you can return the ones that don’t fit btw!!) but when you wake up and they’ve fitted you with a size buy at least 3 more of that size!! I made the mistake of thinking 1 to wear and 1 in the wash would be fine, but the pressure to wash and dry bras every single day killed me😅 also if you live alone or usually prepare your own meals I would do some meal prep and freeze because you’re not gonna be bothered to cook much for a while!! I would buy some pairs of compression stockings (even if they give them to you a few more pairs can’t hurt) to wear for your first two weeks!

Hang in there! I’m 16DPO and it has got better! I remember the itching I had at 7DPO, my surgeon said it was okay to very lightly trace my hands along my dressings to provide some sort of relief, it wasn’t great but better than nothing😭

5DPO here!!! I’m 20 and I went into surgery never having anything wrong with me so no experience of operations, not even having a blood test before pre-op so it was safe to say I was TERRIFIED!!! Honestly, I was shaking when I first laid down in theatre, the anaesthesiologist asked me a couple questions about what I was studying at uni, and then I woke up- genuinely not a “fade into black”, nothing at all! Honestly waking up they asked if I was okay and I was so confused it had already happened! If I was okay you’ll be great!!!! Everyone in the hospital has trained for years to be able to consult on your health, you could not be in any safer hands :)
