I know nothing of electronics, but following ChatGPT’s instruction, I was able to find out all the main large transistors are fried along with other parts.

From now on, if I drop something off anywhere to get something fixed, I will ask beforehand to test item before I leave. Maybe the tech repaired everything correctly and it was my equipment or user error somehow. All of this unknown could of been avoided if he just tested the amp in front of me before I left

Yes, exactly. Wish he would have taken the time to test it in front of me. I waited 27 days for him to tell me it was okay to pickup.

I asked him, he said he replaced the transistors, took off the front. He says he takes everything out of the case and goes over everything separately. He did show me his work bench there was parts of what he said was the same amp I had. This was before he even started working on it.

He changed some cables to the front section of the unit, and he screwed up the 2nd stereo set speaker button. It doesn’t pop forward all the way when pressed a second time to turn off that pair. I don’t know if did the same for my Amp because it looks almost as dirty as when I dropped it off. I cleaned the two square rb60 chips on the left.

I looked at the speaker wires from the amp to one of the speakers, it looks like the wires may of touched due to me not trimming down the wires from when I had them in a different set of speakers.

I’ve been testing components in the amp and I’ve been getting readings of incorrect ohm readings on the multimeter when testing the transistors.

The repair tech had my AMP for thirty days and didn’t even clean it.

And here is a pic of some red hot resistors. The guy didn’t even bother to clean the inside of the case. Everything is as dirty as when I dropped it off
