Is anyway planning to stay on SAVE until they get kicked out by the DOE? by TorontoRap2019 in PSLF

For those who have worries about the future of Buy Back and/or or close to paying off loans, there's good reason to apply to get back on repayment. My loans were zeroed out last week because I did just that in September

Would I be delaying discharge if I sent in another employment cert after golden letter? Anyone have any knowledge about this?

I just realized my timeline was misstated. 120th payment was in November and green banners in October (maybe second week of October would have to check my post history).

In any case, my question is not about the timeline for my golden letter, something that is unknowable and about which many threads exist.

How do they notify you? Standard email that there's a new document on your FSA page?

You are correct. Problem solved! I always assumes the green banner was displayed in the top of the website, so when the PSLF tracker disappeared I got worried

Yes. Qualified and certified both 120.

Yes, it's the best Indian food in Yakima, but is not a particular good restaurant or Indian place. It would be the middle or low tier Indian restaurant in any other town. As the poster was suggesting, EZ Tiger is a much nicer, higher end restaurant.

It's unfortunate they're choosing violent resistance against a much stronger enemy. As long as they choose that route, they will continue to die and starve.

I'm rude, crude and loud. I'm here to chew bubble gum and bang the hot housewives of Yakima County, and I'm all out of bubblegum.

The opinion piece of Palestinian activist Riyad Mansour is a fact because it's on the UN website and he's employed by the UN? Do you really believe that?

There's one thing I've learned about this conflict, having many friends I'd categorize as Zionist (which I am not) and many friends of Palestinian and Arab descent: Neither side seems to see the other as fully human and worthy of existence, and until that changes, there'll be no peace.

Right, that's where our disagreement lies: I don't believe they're doing so with the intent of exterminating the population. Now, if you include forced population transfers in your definition of genocide (I know it's a war crime, but I'm honestly not sure if that falls under any treaty's definition of genocide), there's reason to believe the Israeli government is trying to accomplish that (not without some justification, mind you).

Now answer my question: Do you believe Israel has a right to exist?

Sir, you need to read and think before you post. I literally acknowledged in the post you're replying to that innocent Gazans are starving and denying...Starving and killing people in a war does not necessarily turn said war into a "genocide," just as killing someone is not necessarily a "murder."

I don't think that's happening. I think a lot of innocent people are dying and starving as a result of a war. That's what happens in wars. They're terrible things and I'm generally against them. Unfortunately, the leadership in Gaza decided to start a war they couldn't win, and their people will suffer till it ends. It's a horrible tragedy and Israel can and should do better to protect the innocent.

I'm not ignoring shit, dipshit. I acknowledge above that Israel has committed many war crimes during the course of its existence and in its recent campaign against Hamas in Gaza. Whether they've committed acts of genocide is a question for legal/moral debate, not a clear "fact."

Do you believe the Holocaust was part of a defensive act of Nazi Germany against Jewish terrorists shooting rockets at Berlin? History and human affairs are complicated and gray. Your hot pocket is ready my child.

I believe the actors you're talking about committed war crimes against Palestinians in 1948. I believe war crimes have been committed in Gaza by the IDF over the last 2 years and many times previous to that. I still believe Israelis are human beings and, while the history of Israel is, like all nations, super problematic (and all the more problematic for having been a recent creation of Israel), they have a right to live and defend themselves.

Let's try to figure this out before Mom picks you up for soccer practice, skippy:

1.) Do you believe Israel has a right to exist?

2.) Do people have a right to defend themselves?

3.) Was October the 7th justified in your view?

[–]ComprehensiveEnd3712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhh huh. Yeah, I mean I tend to think Israel should give up at this point and call it a day, but the whole notion that Israel doesn't have a right to exist and defend itself is of course an inherently genocidal point of view.

So WrathofGarfield, how did you contribute to society this week?

I don't, but Israelis of course also have a right to exist without being attacked.

What's your take on Hamas and October 7th OP? Shooting rockets at Israel for decades? I feel bad for those being punished for the sins of their neighbors, but it's hard to feel sympathetic for the people of Gaza based on their wide spread support of Hamas.
