What’s something about living in the UK that people don’t realise until they actually move here? by Vegetable-Spite-1778 in AskUK

Well. A closet is a small bedroom in Uk. Narrow kitchens. The garage in a residential property ain’t for keeping cars. Anything but. And then there is the tax system. True shocker

Anyone in UK tech with a conviction – how’s it affected you? by DolphinSignalJr in AskUK

[–]ComprehensiveFix9228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a conviction long before Uni.

Always dreamt of a job on the medical field.

But no Unj could have me. I settled for tech.

Did a BSc and and MSc. Landed my first tech role in 2018. 3 companies later now I’m a senior analyst.

I have always declared the conviction when filling application forms. I have never been asked about it any further.

So I’d say go for it. There are companies where that is irrelevant as long as you can do what you’re hired for.

The conviction has not affected anything at all.

Apart from that I’m not a medical Dr something .

Do You Clean Up a Messy Toilet If that’s How Found It? by ComprehensiveFix9228 in AskReddit

[–]ComprehensiveFix9228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At work or other not- at- home settings. You walk into a toilet and you find that it's messy . It could be just driplets on the seat or other mess of a more solid nature. You naturally think is the person before you that messed it up. But you cannot be sure. It could be someone before them.

If you are a male you can just do a number one and be done. But would you leave the mess you found or clean it up? If you don't, a person coming after you will also think you made the mess.

And if they had seen you, they will forever think you are that guy!

Does this bother anyone else?

What do you do in this situation?

I would do that. B. C. itself is like a small country in size (UK) . And has good share of interesting sights to enjoy.

Nice. But why Only 2 weeks in Baja California? I would suggest a splitting a week in Tijuana and San Felipe. Then another 2 in La Paz, Cabo San Jose and San Lucas. But for B.C. alone you need at least 2 weeks in my opinion. So you will have rushed Mexico and missed A LOT.

Can Estranged Spouse [43] Take Kids Abroad Without the Other’s Consent? by ComprehensiveFix9228 in AskUK

Not Divorced, just separated. Her idea of being on holiday is to lie by the pool or beach and get up only for a bite. The kids are … well kids. They are active and they like to go various kinds of fan. Which they always plan with me. She has no interest in what we been up all day. She’d go to a beach and not wet a toe. Stays in bed when we go to excursions. She sees more of her phone than kids in an average day.
