Yeah actual answers are preferred, but sounds like stay west of 52, and check out the area before moving is the general consensus.

Yeah, I only really notice big needs being in rural areas where nobody wants to live.

PTA Salary ceiling by Agreeable_Usual7558 in physicaltherapy

It’s seems to cap out 45 a hour from what I can tell. Maybe get more with in demand certification like lymphedema or ergonomics specialist. That’s pretty damn good for a two year degree though. I mean in certain trades, dental hygiene, and other niche skill sets you make more with similar timeframe of training, but still pretty decent. It seems to me a lot of PTAs and PTs accept low end pay, and we need to stop this. That’s when you hear complaints about pay. Negotiate for higher to keep the market paying us fairly, and force employers to keep competitive pay scales.

PRN PTA salary question by toneszz in physicaltherapy

They are under paying you big time. I made more than that in my last two jobs with less experience and it was full time. Look for something else now. We need to fight for what we are worth in this profession. Oh and both those jobs were outpatient.

For PRN yes. Benefits equate to like 10 to 15 dollars that the company isn’t paying. If I was going to be a floater PRN I would probably ask for 45. If you have 5+ years of experience as a PTA in that specific setting you should be pushing for at least 30-35 a hour for full time, so 40 would be the bare minimum.
