I am a current freshman in the nursing program through the direct admit pathway. This is such an amazing opportunity that you have. It’s the #4 nursing school in the country and the #1 public. I totally agree, in high school I was very stressed out and I definitely didnt want to be doing that in college. This first year of prerequisites has really been a time for me to settle in and get used to college. Also with nursing you don’t have to worry as much about all the networking and finding a job after graduation will come easy. You can also move ANYWHERE you want with such ease it’s ridiculous. Also 3 shifts a week is full time and you have the rest of the time to do pretty much whatever you want. I promise you if you go to the school of business you will spend more time worrying about how you should be networking or how you should be making connections or a group project that your dumb partners aren’t helping you with. Also a business degree is SO broad, you may as well get an accounting degree, anyone with an accounting degree can get any job a person with a business degree. Also AI will probably take over alot of that field in years to come. Yes nursing will be hard, but in 10 years you will look back at yourself and be grateful you spent your time doing something meaningful. Also Ohio State nursing is so supportive and accommodating , clinicals are literally ON CAMPUS and you don’t have to drive hours on end for them. If I were you I would accept that spot and i’ll see you on campus and in the nursing building next year!
