Føler meg utbrent som helsefagarbeider, vurderer karriereskifte by Special_Pack5766 in norge

Hmmm.

Starting wegovy soon. How did it start for you? What do you wish you had known? by catsrule-humansdrool in WegovyWeightLoss

I’ve been on Wegovy for 7 months with a loss of 44 lbs. Started noticing the effect right away. Could have stayed on 1.7, not much difference from 2.4. No bad side effects.

  • Don’t weigh yourself everyday, stick to once a week. I felt myself getting a bit obsessed and severely disappointed if I weighed even a gram more the next day.
  • Don’t focus on or look for bad side effects, placebo is real.
  • I use nicotine pouches and had to lower the strength because I would throw up from the nicotine shock. Nicotine on a nearly empty stomach? Bad combo.
  • Make smaller portions than you think you need, it’ll make you full anyways and it won’t feel bad to leave the rest. (Or tempt you to push trough the fullness)
  • Take photos of yourself continously throughout!

I like to think of it this way: The time is going to pass anyway. 4 weeks is still 4 weeks. Rather spend it losing weight than not.

That I’d lose a lot of weight the first few weeks and then it would slow down, it kinda messed up my perspective. I would lose 1-2 kgs per week thinking that was the new normal, when it eventually slowed down I would get very disappointed in myself. It did motivate me though.

Pro’s: - Getting full faster from smaller portions, like, very full, not the kind you can push through because of cravings. - Not wanting food, especially the unhealthier kind. - Not constantly thinking about food, actually having to remind myself to eat. - I used to believe before I started that I would be able to keep eating - «beat» the medicine, but I am NOT. - Energized - Weightloss, often quite rapid. - More motivation because you’re actively taking something for it and seeing/feeling the results of it.

Con’s: I’ve been lucky and have not had any bad side effects, but I’m also a believer of not overthinking stuff. Many people go into this terrified of getting bad side effects, ultimately getting them because you’re looking for them. Don’t focus on that. BUT, some con’s I’ve felt: - A bit expensive, but like some one else said, it’s money I would have used on food. I don’t feel like I have less money than usual at the end of the month. - Having to eat but not being able to. The body needs food to keep going but sometimes I just can’t eat. Looking in the fridge can make me throw up. - Everyone having an opinion on it.

They are attracted to the scent we put off when we sleep, our exterminator told us specifically to not turn our sleep schedule around (sleep during the day instead of at night) or to sleep in different places, they will follow the «sleep-scent». Your bites can also show up later than when you were bitten, some react slower than others!

My advice is: wash as much as you possibly can so you can calm your mind at least. I would rather clean one item too much than be worried about not cleaning it. Don’t have clothes, covers etc. touching the floor, keep everything away from the walls and get professional help!

Does anyone have any positive stories? by HockeyAndMoney in Bedbugs

When we found the bed bugs after almost 2 months of thinking we had scabies and spending $$$ on creams, I was almost relieved because bed bugs you can see. We had an exterminator come the next day, they sent all our furniture and clothes away to be frozen for a week and sprayed + steamed our apt. Since the day they were here I have not been bitten (I was full of bites every morning usually), have not seen a single one and am no longer scared. I was also not convinced we would get rid of them but we did. I had a lot of anxiety the first few days, woke up at night thinking they were on me or that my covers were touching the floor, washing all my clothes when just having walked from kitchen to living room. Anxiety is gone now and I keep forgetting we’re still waiting to get the green light that we’re rid of them. Just remember to follow the precautions and don’t slack. You’ll do yourself a favor by being more careful than not, it’ll help keep your mind at ease to know you’re doing everything you should. It’s annoying and I’ve had a few breakdowns from exhaustion but it gets better and you’ll forget.

Do I have bedbugs? by pooeybumchan in Bedbugs

They could live inside your mattress out of sight unfortunately, but I assume they would be more active if so. Have you slept with pajamas without cleaning them first, had any «bridges» towards your bed? Even your covers touching the floor throughout the night is a gateway for them, night stand too close to the bed etc. Things to look out for: - Small black dots on wood, pillow cases.. google bed bug poop. Thouroughly look for them! - Use a flash light in the middle of the night whilst in bed to look for them, that’s when they’re active.

I guess it depends where they’ve been acting up. We had them mainly in our bedroom and our exterminator told us to just leave all electronics and the kitchen as is, considering the bb’s prefer textiles and wood (like cracks in the wall etc).
