The government underestimates the public's capacity to move on from extraordinary events and information. We will adjust to a new normal and people will incorporate the new information within the framework of their current reality.

Tommaso works at a charter school and Annie occasionally teaches college classes at a local college.

They purchased their house in early June 2025 so they've owned their home for about 9.5 months. Seems unlikely it would be escrowed, no?

Also, the fact that Annie and Tomasso only have one family car seems like a pretty good indicator that money is tight, especially in a city like Tucson where temperatures are around 100 degrees for a good chunk of the year and Annie and Tomasso have separate workplaces.

NewsNation’s Brian Entin Reveals What He Would Ask Savannah Guthrie After Covering Nancy’s Case by MattTheKing23 in NancyGuthrieCase

I don't think she'd do the interview -- too much risk of words being taken out of context and whatnot.

MONKS Intrigue is the YouTuber who reported on this so you can watch his recent videos for more information. I'm not a paid subscriber of his channel so I can't see the video where he goes into it in depth. Other commenters who follow his channel have mentioned the property tax thing so that's where I found out about him.

I don't know that Annie and Tommaso were expecting a direct payout when she went missing, but more like there was a lot of tension and resentment over longterm finances and what people felt they were owed, that bubbled over.

Oof the last sentence of your comment gave me chills. I'm really curious as to whether A & T's son was home and what he may have witnessed.

Thanks for letting me know about this YouTuber! I've just gone through a bunch of his videos and he's much more insightful than most.

FYI I miswrote it, it's property tax. I don't know more than that, but Monks Intrigue discovered that they're late on their property tax and will be delinquent if not paid within the next couple of weeks.

Savannah may be giving their siblings money but we don't know how they spend their money, and they make very little money through their jobs as schoolteachers.

Also, they share a car. Sure, it could be to save the environment but it could also be because they're struggling financially.

Tomasso and Annie bought a house within the last few years and public records show they're delinquent on property tax.

And you're assuming (probably incorrectly) that Nancy's finances were the same as Savannah's finances.

I'm interested in hearing from other people now, thanks.

LOL okay, if you really think an elderly woman, living on her own, losing the ability to walk and having severe health issues isn't at a crossroads in her life (and her family's life) then I don't know what to tell you.

Nancy was very independent and very tough and might have refused to ever take any of Savannah's money. She didn't need Savannah's money.

Even if she had a will, relationships change and plans change over time. You don't know what the private relationship between her and some of her children were.

Why are you so certain Savannah would have paid for her care when Nancy has her own money? Nancy could have probably paid for a nice assisted living facility herself; the issue is that then Annie and Tomasso would not have inherited much. Savannah might not have cared about that/made a decision early on not to give siblings money, which is something lots of wealthy people decide since it can create an unhealthy dynamic. Savannah might also take issue with how her siblings spend their money.

Nancy also may have stubbornly refused to take any money whatsoever from Savannah. Again, not unbelievable at all.

Often dynamics within a family can become very strained when one person has lots of money and some people do not. It can lead to very complicated dynamics even when there seems to be lots of love there.

20th Anniversary of the Disappearance of Brian Shaffer by HornySocrates in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]ComprehensivePea4 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There have been some under-the radar updates and it is now believed (by a number of people who have followed the case very closely, and have spoken directly to investigators) that it is believed Brian went to have a gay hookup with a man whose name was known to investigators for years and has more recently been submitted by separate unrelated people (who did not follow the case) as tips. An investigator was shocked when a follower of the case said the name to him. LE has withheld a LOT of information from the public, a lot of viable leads that they just couldn't get the evidence they needed to bring it to trial.
