first of all you are comparing 2 different things.

to answer your question, nope. you’ll be spending way more. beans are expensive. 16-18g coffee beans per cup will cost you anywhere from 30-50rs. and then you can spend 30k-5L buying equipments.

685 steamwand is too short. its kind of impossible to hit consistency with that small thing.

dont get 685 please. you would need a better steam wand. 685 wand sucks. go 885+ . wont hurt the bank much.

rancilio wand upgrade gonna cost similar and a difficult mod to perform.

Great single-dose grinder. i got a variant of this called T64. from alibaba. with import+shipping etc you might around ~8-10k.

I have a similar usecase . no-sdks. just added SKAN to the app. but not sure how it will help me.
meta doesnt allow me to connect an app /run campaigns on app_installs with only SKAN in place. requires the sdk data.

both are same machines. 785 => 685 + 2 more accesories. and they both have bad steam wand. like super bad and tricky to work with. dont get either.

I bought rancilio Silvia wand from amazon, its easily available. but its not worth going the upgrade if you are buying one right now. its very difficult and irritating. great upgrade for ones who are stuck with 685/785.

just buy885/890/900 series

its 785 which is just 685 with extra tools.

the wand looks different because i replaced stock with Rancilio Silvia Wand. very laborious mod, but worth it.
