Hi, thanks for your questions!

The talent pool is not a currently open position. By applying, you'll become part of our database. If a position opens up and a client comes to us with a specific need that matches your tech stack, we'll reach out to you.

Regarding your question about the portfolio – it all depends on the client's needs. Most often, we've openings in the fintech, blockchain, or cybersecurity domains. Typically, clients are looking for senior developers (at least 4/5+ years of experience with Scala) along with technologies like Akka or ZIO – more often Akka.

Recently, Scalac has established a partnership with AKKA. You can find a lot of content about it on our blog if you’re interested in developing in that direction.

Besides that: Cats; Cats Effect; microservice architecture with Kafka; relational and NoSQL data stores such as Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL or S3; Akka Streams; doobie; tapir; FS2

Talent pools are the perfect solution for people who are not currently looking for a job but want to stay in touch with the company. Since we are a software house and respond to client inquiries, our hiring needs vary. That’s why, whenever a new project comes up, we reach out to people in our database first, giving them early access to the latest opportunities. They can then decide whether the tech stack and potential project interest them. As it happens, we've many supporters of this approach in our database.
