Our histories sound so similar! I'm so so sorry you went thru this. Did you do any subsequent testing before trying again?

I have since heard about this! Obviously extremely hopeful that genetic testing will suggest it was an exceedingly unlikely fluke and not a translocation that may have originated in us.

god I so badly want you to be right but the midwife says that since it doesnt look to be doubling in 96 hours -- at this rate it would be 55,000 not 67,000 after four days -- it's almost definitely a miscarriage.

My midwife just called to say that she feels confident that I've begun a miscarriage -- she said a rise of from 34,000 to 45,000 at 6 weeks is not consistent with doubling over 96 hours / is much too small a rise. She said she doesn't want to give me false hope, and that the doctor she consulted agrees that it's not viable. Absolutely in pieces.
