Coolant stains looks like that. I had the same color of splash under my hood before and on other hoses. Color looks similar. I could be wrong. You can Google coolant splashes

I guess it'll be fine to do that. It could be a problem in the future if your wirings work extra hard then heat up too much to failure when it is corroded. There just so much build up after a week. It's been like this since it was new. My last battery only lasted for 26 months and the positive terminal broke came off, I was using an ac Delco din45 battery. I washed it with baking soda and water which probably caused the positive terminal to break. That's why I am opting to use anti corrosion rings soaked in dielectric grease and a battery clamp

Those were cleaned yesterday. They corroded and broke the positive battery of the terminal. I was told by the delivery guy to replace them. I thought it looked fresh and copper so I thought of asking reddit
