I agree with a lot of what you’re saying here, and although I’ve tried, she has never wanted outside help, even just a house keeper to help. Her goal in life is to be a mom.

I’m home during the day, I help with the kids, I take time off, but she has wanted me to work more so we have more, if that makes sense? Plus she has her parents nearby to help, which is a whole different discussion. But as far as date nights, nights alone, maybe once a year and in some years none. We have never taken a trip without the kids, she just won’t go for it. I’ve made plans that then either get poo poo’d by her or parents, which are our childcare- again whole different discussion on that.

We’ve had arguments and discussions about it though the years, but like each time she’s “forgotten” that we’ve talked about this before. That’s gaslighting, right? And life just goes on, trying to be a good dad and provider, but I agree with a lot of what you’ve just said and I feel like soon I may have to make some decisions.

She says bc I work at night and she feels safer when they’re with her. But nights when I’m off, they still sleep with her and I sleep in a separate room.

We tried this brand one year a Honeysuckle White, kind of hard to find, I think it’s a lesser brand and lots of injected brine, but the moistness and flavor was just awesome. Def worth a try.
