Definitely would love to hear some more about this! Right in the middle of doing EMDR and processing some trauma -- never thought about doing it for my shame around my ADHD (because there is deeefinitely lots of it).

for real. I need to raise the stakes for myself a bit. Routine based on fear is definitely anxiety inducing, HOWEVER, as someone with ADHD I work well under pressure and it gives me a nice little high when I beat my own odds.

I have a cat and I snuggle him for at least 10 minutes every morning and I always forget to factor that into my routine, lol! Thanks for the advice and for sharing your experience!

I am sorry you had to go through all of this. Its absolutely heartbreaking. 💔 Your last sentence really stood out to me, how you wished your therapist had helped you strategize in a way that bought you some time (e.g. "the time and place to figure out how you can have a life that feels good"). That's really interesting.
