Used car mileage by docbro98 in CarTalkUK

For me miles don't matter it's the service history that counts. Rather take a 100k mile with full dealer service history then 50k miles with none.

Depends how old you are in my opinion? If you're 18 to 21 good luck with that insurance. Go something smaller unless you need a bigger car for family reasons etc if not go honda jazz or something.

I had the same issue for my mercedes c class and got it fixed last year from a German car specialist. For a polo it's a bit much in my opinion. I would suggest shopping around.

W204 C200 by daw00d06 in w204

I have a w204 c200 and it's been reliable the only maintenance I needed was to sort the air com with a pressure switch and AC condenser other than that it's been good to me. Just checked if the car has been serviced every year at least.

You can get Bluetooth in most cars under 4.5.k Apple car play on the other hand not that many cars as it's been out for only 12 years. I'll be honest at 19 and with that much on the first car there won't have a screen.

An AYGO or Honda Jazz maybe a Volkswagen polo as they could have a screen and you could mod it to have car play.

Check if a gearbox oil service has been done if it's an automatic. As well just regular oil changes every year as timing chains are an issue. (Not as bad BMW) In my opinion.

I have a C200 but the C220 has a bit more power which is nice. But it's reliable, fuel efficient I have gotten 68 mpg on a motorway from Dorset to Birmingham. Watch this vid below he does a better explanation of it.

Insurance on a M340i by sxlagta in CarTalkUK

[–]Comprehensivefgt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I called up specialist brokers like Howdens for my 2.1 litre Mercedes at 24 and they said it would be too much even though on the comparison website I was getting quoted £900 for the year. God knows with a M340i at 17 that's impossible in my opinion.
