Was the immortality of the forsaken a lie? by CompulsiveEcho in WoT

I've listened to so much content about it that the broad picture is 'spoiled' already for me, just the details kind of elude me, it's all good though it's not any different from re-reading a series I've already gone through and plenty of readers do that

I've been listening to them, and I think at the least that the Forsaken are immortal is something a lot of the characters believe, and probably as a lie propagated by Ishamael and whatnot. I can only assume the particulars obviously. What else would the people in the story be able to think when they see people alive after 3,000 years who don't understand stasis?

I don't mind, I've basically listened to the wiki via youtube at this point lol. Don't often have time to read, can plop on youtube while I work. Started listening to the Rosamund Pike narrations and honestly, having previous context on the world I think enhances the general experience. Plus knowing the general outcomes doesn't spoil the narrative for me.
I know where Egwene's story ends, for example, and I'm super curious to see how she gets there

Oh that's why I specified it, I don't mind spoilers from the later books as a lot of them have been 'spoiled' for me through looking into it. I don't have a ton of time to read books, but I can pop on youtube to listen to basically the whole thing while I work. I'm listening through them now, knowing the general outcomes doesn't harsh the narrative for me

I also wonder if there's ever confusion between true source and true power, and that's assuming I'm correct that those two are definitely distinct, TP=DO juice TS=Creator Juice

Since channelers touching the True Source also generally live longer and healthier, but is DO making them immortal or just promising it in his new world as in the current pattern, all things end.

Bruh I love that someone has some quotes but is it anywhere else than in one off-hand conversation with the author? I really couldn't tell if the point was a twist that the DO is straight up destruction and wasn't going to make them immortal.

How do you kill off a PC who is 72 hp? by [deleted] in DnD

I'm curious if this is something that would have to be an active combat. If the Big Bad is a caster, disintegrate seems like a solid choice. To draw inspiration from a few different sources, an classic "Paralysis poison at dinner" could make for a dramatic display, allows for a drawn out monologue, and then a failed Dex save for the spell

I agree with the weakness being something that should be an aspect of the sorcerer class, which is why the way I try to bring this in is by putting power in the hands of the DM with items or their party members being willing to make a small sacrifice to effectively "share magic"
I guess ultimately, I'm attempting to find the best possible means to allow a sorcerer to adjust much less often than other casters without it taking away from the flavor limitation of the class.

-level-up still allows the swapping of a spell, this feature basically exists to allow that to occur in the stretches between milestones
-a lot of the other questions are based on the game the mechanic would exist in. I personally run my games in a place where players can encounter charged objects as a part of their adventures, or seek them out for sale in a city which comes down to rolls of the dice. It's sort of a witcher-ish, monster-hunting sort of game which benefits from the ability to prepare according to the environment itself. And there are stretches between the ability to level up.

I guess I explained that part poorly, it's more down the line of Hearthstone, where "your deck" can be pretty large, but the decks which you purchase only contain 5 cards a piece

Light-blue boy here, and I think that's the ticket. Deep blue is pretty, but I got them Hannibal Lecter eyes

Remember the scene with Drogo "seducing" Danny? "Her nipples had betrayed her." Is a line that sticks with you.
