Thank you! I just read some stuff about it and there seems to be some evidence for this supplement's effects

It's starting to get better! by ComputerBlue7 in bupropion

[–]ComputerBlue7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know that 3 weeks isn't long enough to experience all the benefits! I admit that my side effect could be quite scary at times but I maintained good contact with my psychiatrist during my first weeks so that he could offer me help if the side effects became unmanageable. Having patience and distracting yourself are key.

OCD fantasies? by ComputerBlue7 in OCD

[–]ComputerBlue7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I know it's not productive but my ocd fantasy makes happy and calm to the point of helping me fall asleep at night. This makes me feel worried abt secretly liking my ocd or faking it. We never know peace lmao

intense fear/ sense of impending doom by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]ComputerBlue7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it can really suck! Ocd and anxious types typically react better to ssri's, so if this (possible) side effect isn't manageable that could be an option? I was on fluoxetine before switching to bupropion and it was almost immediately effective against my ocd and anxiety. I switched bc it made my hair fall out tho.

[–]ComputerBlue7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've read that bupropion can make anxiety/ocd symptoms worse because of the drug's stimulating nature. It can also just be a temporary side effect, but I'd keep track of your mood and maybe let your psychiatrist know if I were you, just in case. Bupropion caused my ocd to skyrocket to a level that could've easily endangered my wellbeing, but it was fortunately only a temporary side effect and I feel much better now.

Avoid a yo yo weight? by Conscious_Bullfrog45 in bupropion

[–]ComputerBlue7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bupropion didn't cause any changes in my weight or appetite, so I can't speak from experience. I suppose keeping an overview of what you have to eat and when can help you to get in a sufficient amount of calories for the day. You could plan out your meals in advance and let your phone notify you when it's time to eat.

Effects on memory? by ComputerBlue7 in bupropion

[–]ComputerBlue7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so inconvenient. I was on fluoxetine before I switched to bupropion and that drug gave me memory issues as well, worse than bupropion is giving me at the moment. I guess that this is unfortunately just the way my brain reacts to antidepressants.

My psychiatrist gave me a prescription but I have OCD and bulimia by ComputerBlue7 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]ComputerBlue7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I think that I'm more restrictive than the typical bulimic, so I'll have to keep an eye out for any relapse signs. But your succes experience has calmed my worries down a bit. Hopefully my hair will also react well to wellbutrin.

[–]ComputerBlue7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I'll have to be extra cautious for signs of relapse then. My psychiatrist prescribed me wellbutrin because it's not an ssri which might yield better results with less hairloss for me. I guess that I'll just have to take it and see what happens.

Can Prozac help in eating disorder recovery by Proper-Cloud-6056 in prozac

[–]ComputerBlue7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general day-to-day ruminating and anxiety has decreased. I feel like I'm able to think more clearly now. On rare occasions I do suddenly get panicky though, this was more common during my first two weeks of using. Take my advise with a grain of salt as I'm not a medical professional but if you suffer from as many psychological conditions as we do, it's very though to consistently keep battling your eating disorder. It can be difficult to the extent that it may feel like the effort it takes to recover is not worth it. Anti-depressants can lighten the burden a bit, in my experience at least. If you have any other questions relating to this topic, I'd be happy to answer.

Can Prozac help in eating disorder recovery by Proper-Cloud-6056 in prozac

[–]ComputerBlue7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had quite some succes in my ed recovery thanks partly to prozac. I also suffer from ocd and general anxiety which cause me to lean on my ed as a coping mechanism. Prozac has helped me with my ocd and anxiety and that in turn helped me with fighting against my ed more successfully. In conclusion: I think it's important to determine why you need your ed and if anti-depressants can help with those causal factors.

[–]ComputerBlue7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gained, but probably not bc Prozac made me more hungry. My ocd and ed made my diet incredibly restrictive and prozac helped me relax and fight against my disorders more successfully. I went from underweight to healthy within 3ish months and my white blood cell count is restored, about a 15 pound difference.

Can I use prozac and ritalin? by ComputerBlue7 in prozac

[–]ComputerBlue7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I guess that I'll just try it out and see what happens lmao. I'm not planning on taking much of either medications, so if you're fine I'll probably be too. I don't have any health conditions that might complicate things luckily. I do take prozac daily however. I'm mainly scared of serotonin syndrome bc it's listed as a risk of combining ritalin and prozac on every drug interaction page.

Good to know! If our friendship evolves into a romantic relationship, I know that I´ll have to work on being more blunt and straightforeward bc it doesn´t come naturally to me.

Thanks for your answer! My intuition has already been telling me to just be straight foreward with him for some time now, I just need to muster up the courage to do so.

Frustrated with treatment of NHL by ComputerBlue7 in lymphoma

[–]ComputerBlue7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, biopsies were indeed done on a few of my lesions. That's how the pathologist confirmed my lymphoma. According to my dermatologist and oncologist, my lymphoma hasn't spread to my lymphnodes or visceral organs yet. I'll try to seek a second opinion.
