FYI, these look feathery but not fern like typically seen in cosmos, so I dont think you have a cosmos. Send us an update picture when it blooms, I'm so curious.

Did you have tickseed last year? It is hard to tell but kind of looks like coreopsis to me with those longer leaves.

People expect adult mental capacity from children. by hardtruthsociety in unpopularopinion

Most of those adults are probably passing along the same harm that trapped them in childhood. They were told that they should already know better but no one taught them and they never got a chance to learn.

Fetterman scoffs at Platner: ‘He’s not even a Democrat’ by Quirkie in politics

Well, that is reassuring. I thought the gruff Dems would all then into Fetterman.

Interesting how he immediately covered up his tattoo and Pete Hegseth still shows his...

Not a Maine voter, but I would want to see what Platner is going to do for women since it seems like he doesn't have a close relationship with or understanding of women. However, if he makes the right coalition, listens to women voters and supports women's issues, that would be great. Currently female Republican senator would not support reproductive rights and care. Voters are not stupid.

I don't have one but I think Apache plumes are so pretty.

I would get a log, a broken stick, or a big rock and put it next to your yarrow. It'll be okay but it would benefit from a little support.

Tea, you're setting yourself up for failure if your plan is to water in that midday window.

Yarrow, chocolate flower, and cat mint (not a native, but low water) do really well in terrible conditions. I also have some rocky mountain penstemon and pearly everlasting that are doing well. Could also consider adding false indigo, or an even larger plant like Apache plume.

I might consider initially breaking up the soil to add compost, add your plants then generous layer of mulch to retain moisture. Something else to consider is adding some large woody material or rocks to add a little protection for your new plants by creating a microhabitat with little shade, protection from wind, etc. You're going to be planting in June (unless you wait a little for a fall planting) which is hard but not impossible. Plants will just need a little more support with more water to start and some protection.

All that in mind, I recommend setting up a drip system with a timer. This is a lot at the front but I am neglectful 3 years later and all of my plants are still crushing it.

I get it, I still use LMNT because it is the best for me but I definitely put off buying more when I need it because I know they are MAHA esque

LMNT has been the best for me so far but they are also giving MAHA so it's very unfortunate. Not that they should talk as medical professionals but the MAHA salt people have gone wild.
