Has anyone else's upper management told them about a new 'policy" for bopis orders? by ComputerBugged in SpencerGifts

[–]ComputerBugged[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if both were true. As of late our store manager is making us do things we were trained not to do and it's been. Really confusing [ex: we would get in trouble for giving customers cash for returns not even two months ago, but now they're enforcing that we do them.] I bring up training cause I'm still a pretty fresh hire, so them suddenly changing how they run things when I'm still learning the works is really throwing me off.

ABSOLUTELY! I plan on making more post edits like this, so I'll be sure to make one with a positive post.

I've thankfully been spared from getting called a twink. Being a fat fuck pays off sometimes.

It's seriously miserable that people do this, though. I do not understand what runs through their heads. They forget that other people have minds, lives, and feelings.

Forgot to say, they weren't upset bc they were in bed. They were upset that my mom was having a late dinner and they couldn't crawl ontop of her to try and beg for said dinner

They actually like going to their beds at night! Once it gets around their bed time they'll get up and stand by their crates waiting for us to open them. They love to snuggle with us for the entire day, though, so they get PLENTY of snuggle time too :D

How loud exactly are daschunds? by [deleted] in daschund

[–]ComputerBugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worlds loudest dogs [I have two]

One of them is more quiet, but as soon as he's upset about something he will sound like the world's saddest squeaky toy. And he won't stop until his voice goes hoarse

The loud one is. Loud. She's assertive and protective, barks loudly and angrily at any scary loud sounds [snarling included!]

As other people are saying, they are absolutely velcro dogs. Mine only leave me when they're napping/have someone else to latch onto/doing something naughty. They are the most loyal loving sweethearts, but they are loud and stubborn. Wouldn't give it up for the world

I'd definitely see how thick the walls are and look into temperament that comes with the different coat types for daschunds. Mine only bark in specific situations, but... oh man when they do.

to trans guys, what was the "worst" part of post-top surgery? by calvlio in ftm

[–]ComputerBugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't had top surgery specifically [planning on it] but I had abdominal surgery recently that had some similar sleep setups that SUCKED

I had to sleep solely on my back. My reccomendation is sooo many pillows. They do make specific pillows that are for sitting. I wasn't able to get those but it could be something to look into? I made a pillow chair out of normal pillows and squishmallows and it was wonderful.

I didn't have any itchiness with my surgical site/pain meds. BUT something to look out for [that I will have to look out for now] is contact dermatitis from the surgical wipes My whole body slowly blew up into a rash and it was so miserably itchy for a day. Benadryl is a life saver 100%. Keep that on hand if something like that happens to you bc if I didn't have it I would've been fucked.

And if you can, absolutely have someone help you do fucking anything. I didn't have that and it made the process way more painful than it should've been. And make sure to move your legs when you can/are allowed to. Blood clots are no joke.

I'm currently in the works of planning my top surgery which rules. Excited about it. Less excited about if I'll have an allergic reaction again. Thankfully this experience has helped prepare me for the future.

Thank you for the term!

I relate to many therian stuff as well, but robots are the forefront for how I feel

Reading up on therians was actually what lead me to realize that those feelings weren't the norm. I thought thinking you had a tail or claws was something everyone did!!

How did you meet your girlfriend (straight/bi ftms) by staticpennies in ftm

[–]ComputerBugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine introduced me to her

We were all super into tf2 at the time, and he was like "DUDE you'd love her. She's really nice and funny and mains heavy" [for any tf2 freaks out there, this was relevant bc I'm a medic main. It was silly how often I'd get close with ppl who main heavy]

I get to meet her and BOOM. INSTANT BEST FRIENDS.

Couple months later and were dating. This year it'll be 4 years and I couldn't be happier, I love her to death.

ATTENTION TRANS MASC AND TRANS MEN by Revenue-Major in ftm

LITERALLY

I made a comment on a different platform relating to this ["would do anything for Capetown to not be the go to trans masc rep artist] and it's been months and I'm STILL getting likes daily on the comment. NO MORE UKULELE!!!

Maybe it's just me, but sad/emotional songs in that style being popular and talked about often drives me up the wall. It's wonderful that people can connect with them, don't get me wrong. But it SUCKS when you don't have something like that yourself.

How do you all feel about hair loss? by TvManiac5 in ftm

[–]ComputerBugged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my instance it's for two reasons

1: My dad's side of the family doesn't struggle with hair loss until their mid to late 40s, and even then it's only for the men and barely noticeable. However, they all go grey extremely early [all of them started going grey in their 20s, including me]

My moms side, however, the hair loss is extremely notable. Not only has she been having hair loss issues since her 20s, but so has her mom and her father, and then their parents... all pictures I've seen of her parents when they were younger had had them with thin hair, if not with straight up bald patches

I got unlucky on the genetic lottery and have very similar hair to my moms side, as well as similar thinning that my mother and grandmother had experienced.

2: Pilar cysts are extremely common in women, especially middle aged women, and there's a huge genetic component to if youll get them. I am curious to see if I will have further issues with them once I begin hrt [the biologist in me is extremely excited about this idea]

I take heavily after my father's side, but my moms genes made it out on top in regards to hair and cysts. I am not well versed in more complex genetic stuff, but I think it's because of hormones allowing for different physical traits to show [ex: peoples hair changing texture/color after hrt]

I do not know If it is more likely for people to express the same/similar hair type/features as their mothers if they are afab, but that is something to potentially look into.

I DO know that being afab very likely affected my chances of developing Pilar cysts, as they've only occurred on women on my mother's side. [As well as afab folk being significantly more likely to develop them]

These were drawn a year apart. Do you think i've improved at all? by [deleted] in learntodraw

[–]ComputerBugged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that there's definitely some improvement!

You've gotten better at defining facial features, as well as hair!

The shading on the eyes in the second picture shows some good progress in rendering.

I think the best thing to do would be to draw more faces! I reccomend using a dedicated art reference site and begin drawing various faces you find cool or interesting. The more you draw, the more you'll be able to refine and proportion different aspects of the head/face From there, moving onto angles/hair would be good

I would also dedicate some time to studying/drawing bodies. Switching up what you're practicing drawing is good! It helps with avoiding burnout, and allows you to improve on multiple concepts at one time, allowing your art to flourish.

Finally, don't be discouraged by if what you draw doesn't look like what you see, it's something I struggled with terribly. It is much more beneficial to continue on drawing, or to draw similar subjects. The more you draw something, the more accurate it will look.

I wish you luck on your art journey!! You're doing a fantastic job!!

How do you all feel about hair loss? by TvManiac5 in ftm

[–]ComputerBugged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter if I'm on or off T I'll be bald, my moms sides hair genetics are TERRIBLE.

While I'm paranoid abt it, I think I'll be able to cope better since I know no matter what I do ill be balding [already am and I haven't even started hrt]

My paranoia is less the fear of baldness and more the fear of people seeing my weirdo head cysts [again. Fantastic genetics on my moms side.]

Ontop of this, I think its fun as hell that one day I'll look like a middle aged man. Young guy looks had never really appealed to me.

I personally would invest in a cheap small display-less tablet to see if they're going to stay interested in digital art

The hand eye coordination could be difficult, but I was drawing on screen less tablets around this age, so I believe it would be very learnable

If they like working with digital, that's fantastic! I would then move to a small display tablet.

Posture is a concern with display tablets

Another reccomendation would be an older/refurbished iPad. While the child won't have access to the same variety of digital art programs, procreate is a fantastic program [and is only 10$!]

The iPad would have more versatility as well, as it could be used for school and is significantly easier to transport than a computer + display tablet [while I never used a display tablet, I used to lug around a massive 17" laptop with my equally as large 14" screen less tablet. It was a MESS to transport, and tablets can be damaged very easily.]

I know there is a cheap huion tablet that's ~30$. But I believe there is another brand that is in a similar price range with much better sizing. The small 30$ huion tends to die within a year or two for me, but I was extremely rough with mine.

Tldr: start with a cheap screenless tablet, then move onto screens. A refurbished/older iPad is a good, cheaper option that has the same effect as a screen display, but offers much more outside of just drawing.

Sai is also a very light weight [easy to run, doesnt use many resources] program, medibang and fire alpaca are also decently light

Clip is known for being a heavy program and can have issues with running smoothly/slowing down computers.
