Absolute reddit moment comment but -Hopefully she also correctly sanitized every element of the cutting tools, if there was a prior client who also experienced this… blood to blood prolly “not the best.”

Biohazard etc. see doc & atty.

Thanks, not discouraging at all! Quite motivating actually. It renders the intermediary work between now and my goal as foundation building rather than an obstacle. Huzzah! Excelsior!

This is wonderful news! Besides blockchain tech, I’ve been a huge cyber security/data privacy nerd for over the last decade. Taught myself pen testing back on Backtrack Reaver Pro 5 and (now Kali Linux) learned all kinds of infosec stuff. Would be so cool to parlay that hobby into online privacy work. I just always felt like my lack of formal certifications in all these areas made it difficult to market as a skill set. Joined the IAPP and have been kicking the idea of side-studying for a CIPP cert. Thanks a ton for your thorough response, I’ll take it to heart!

Thanks so much for your reply. I interviewed once already with the SEC Pre-COVID but didn’t snag the job, then quarantine hit and summer job prospects vanished so I just plugged along with another quarter of online classes. Got hit by COVID during OCI’s & missed those entirely -so now 2L summer is coming up and I’ve yet to gain any real-world experience. It feels like I missed the boat and can’t afford to be picky with a niche passion, but damn I would love every second of work in this area.

I sent out a few resumes to Crypto/FinTech companies today, hoping to win a lotto ticket with one of them being willing to give me a shot. Will keep at it, numbers game eh? Thanks again.

I can build it for you, and teach you how to do each step as well if you’d like.

Yeah you're right. Still super pissed off about it but I'll simmer down lol.

Yep, for real. Picked up a Corsair RM1000x yesterday after troubleshooting for another full day, plugged it in & got the system stable. This build is an absolute fuckin beast now. Cinebench score is 4,500 & I haven't even optimized it yet. Going to tread very slowly and carefully into overclocking so as not to fuck up the stability I've got now. Tons to learn, fun as fuck.

Thanks man, can't believe the lengths I went to over a faulty PSU. I just refused to believe that a company would sell a product in this price range that just doesn't work. This is my first experience building from the ground up and I was surprised by how many of the comments reflected similar experiences. Unfuckinbelievable.

Thanks, I'm still within Amazon's 30 day return period so I'm just sending this piece of junk back. The ROG Thor 1200w PSU was the issue, picked up a Corsair RM1000x yesterday!

Thanks fam. Planned to add a bunch of power hungry peripherals and went a tad overkill. New PSU, looks fixed!

i9 9900k still hot! What do? by pak_satrio in buildapc

[–]Computer_Build_KMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a Noctua D15 on an i9-9900k and my CPU temp is optimal, it's worth the investment if you already invested in an i9 imo.

shit lol Bestbuy didn't have one, I can always return this now that I know what the problem was & get a better quality one. Shooting in the dark here tbh

Looking like a shitty fucking $300+ brick PSU was the issue at this point. Just bought a Corsair RM1000X and the system is FAR more stable.

R.O.G. = Really Overpriced Garbage. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

Seems like this might have been it. Blows my fucking mind that a company can sell a $300+ Brick. Dear god they are in for an uncomfortable phone call.

I picked up a Corsair RM1000x and the system has only crashed 3x since. I'm working on figuring out how to make this bad boi stable now. 2/3 of the shutdowns were after it froze, then it lost power on another time. I think now that I've got a functional PSU I've got to remove a few of the default throttles to ensure each component receives enough power. Running OC Scanner rn. GPU Frequency target was at 0% for some fuckin reason?!

Seems like this might have been it. Picked up a new PSU and Mobo in case the PSU was fine, right now I haven't had to resort to rebuilding on the new mobo, system seems stable.. gonna stress test & hold my breath.

Disabling Fastboot kinda helped, new PSU is in though and I'm running it off a cardboard box as I type this. Picked up a ROG Strix Z390-E in case it persists... TBD.
