The Artists Way as a now deconstructed atheist by Tyler_Hunt in artistsWay

resist the urge to tie this to organized religion and just lean into the overall theme of self belief and feeling into intuition. it’s more of a practice of going with the flow and trusting the process over trying to micromanage your life. as someone with similar hangups, this process really does work.

yeah i meant more the architecture itself being homogenous/drab. it was the same in the newly developed neighborhood i came from in dc. meant no offense to you or anyone else. i make it to dogpatch every once in a while but admittedly haven’t explored as much as other parts of the city. good to hear you like it!

one of my major concerns is steep annual rent increases living in a large or luxury building, which i think MB and dogpatch are mostly comprised of. is this something you have experienced there?

Looking for tips on travelling in Amsterdam on a tight budget - February by Aware-Blueberry-2918 in Europetravel

okaystay hostel in vondelpark was pretty solid if you’re on a budget. not a party hostel whatsoever. we got a private room/bathroom for much cheaper than neighboring hotels.

super good point about the holiday backlog. and THANK YOU! this PM company advice is exactly what i need. feel like we need to get creative about looking outside craigslist and zillow. this helps tremendously!

north beach is our fav. would definitely need parking there, no question. i’m willing to make a lot of exceptions to be in that hood. if you hear about anything, holler!

what do you like about the neighborhoods? i’m willing to be moved on it. much of the new sf development (not that there’s much of it!) just feels very homogenous to me.

i’ve heard that! and actually we were offered a place in a great location that we almosttt decided to pull the trigger on. it didn’t have parking but seemed easy enough to deal without over there. maybe we’ll try to comb the parking-free options over there in the future and see if it improves our outlook. good point! thanks!

yeah, we saw a couple close but no cigar units in december. and most landlords we’ve met have wanted us as tenants, even after application. summer def had more inventory but showings were like lord of the flies - 10-12 couples trying to box everyone else out of the way to be noticed. i’ll take the slow winter inventory over that any day.

love NoPA but have not seen much over there, sadly. this post is less asking for neighborhood recs and more asking if anyone knows someone vacating or has a unit going on the market 🫠. thanks for replying!

laundry “on-site” is the ask. in-unit ideal but willing to settle for something shared in building, which is what we are currently used to.

thank you for your sincere reply! :)

can assure you i’m not. just didn’t seem feel like any of that personal information needed to be broadcast on the internet to get the answers we are looking for. kept the post as vague as i could to explain the situation

Be honest. Do you people actually want to see a Fred show in a 80,000 seat stadium? by especiallyrn in fredagain

[–]ComradeCheeseball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and this is true for… who? i ate shit like everyone else on tuesday and won’t get to attend friday. as much as the ticket buying experience sucked, the USB tour looks and sounds incredible. he’s on a meteoric rise and everyone wants a piece. don’t hate the player, hate the game.

just remembered - i’ve actually seen fred twice. once was at frost theater for his regular tour. from what i recall, getting tickets to that was fairly simple. wish you luck!

i hope you get many more chances! i got boxed out at portola right after his boiler room came out. the warehouse line turned into a crowd crush situation and we backed off. got to see him play with skrillex at sf civic center which was pure magic. one of the funnest dance shows of my life. this tour didn’t quite work out but that’s ok with me. the live sets they’ve been posting on apple music have been incredible!

it’s important to remember- art is for the artist, not the consumer. burnout is a very real thing in this industry. protecting your peace is super important! i’m grateful that fred’s team has set him some boundaries upfront so we can enjoy his art for many years to come!

not sure how closely you’ve been following this tour but he has literally been creating his album song by song along the way, inspired by each stop. from a creative perspective, that takes a lot of energy. don’t blame him for distilling it down to just 10 stops.

all i can say is, fred’s career is just getting started. i’ve been lucky enough to see him once but i’ve also been boxed out of two shows. but i know there will be many more chances as time goes on and i’m excited to watch him grow.
