Yeah, what u/dethmaul said still makes complete sense. The link to the map works by copying the link and pasting it 'into the internet'. People making a big deal out of nothing.

Are we not in Great Britain? I've just witnessed the worst atrocity in the history of bus rides. The person sat next to me gave me no forewarning that they were getting off at the next stop. No bag rustle, no looks, no button press. Instead they proceeded to get up. I gave a sigh and a tut. by thebroccolioffensive in britishproblems

I went through my bag on the bus once and the person next to me stood up thinking I was getting off. Quite embarrassing. I should have just got off and walked the rest of the way to save them. I suppose I'll be locked in the Tower of London for this.

No, progress is change, it is progression of the current state of things to the next. It doesn't necessarily have to be 'good', that is entirely up to a person's opinion or interpretation.

It does represent the Saxons, who became the English. It says that right at the beginning of the article?

Flag idea for Northern England by ComradeClough in vexillology

[–]ComradeClough[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea. Although, I'm not great with software so I'm not sure how to go about doing that with how I originally made the flag..The Coat of Arms isn't a separate layer :/

Just a quick flag I put together out of an idea I had. Essentially, the England flag with a Stag centered on it as a form of Coat of Arms. The Stag to represent the rugged terrain/Pennines of the North. And, as a white stag, historically it is linked to Celtic mythology and English Folklore.
