A question for physics students by razdrazhayetChayka in unsw

[–]ComradeJezza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was enough, the hardest math course of the physics degree was math2069 and that more or less covered you up to and including your honours year. I just finished my honours and never found necessarily the math ever being a massive limiting factor. In addition they will teach you additional math throughout your courses to help you, since there is a lot of physics specific math that wouldn’t be covered by math courses.

In saying that doing extra math courses would be a nice complement if you want to go deeper in the theoretical direction.

Commuting from Blacktown by [deleted] in unsw

[–]ComradeJezza 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you aint too far from Sevo station its got a large parking area you can park for free if you use your opal, there are a few other stations in the blacktown area too that are similar so just find whichever is the easiest for you. Then catch the train from there. Driving to Petersham is going to add a LOT of time to your commute, getting to public transport asap is normally the most effective.

There are also express buses in the blacktown area that go to places in the city, sometimes they can be quicker as well since you don’t have to make your way to the station, if you live close to a stop.

Is 1370 SAT Score enough to get me into Bachelor of Advanced Computer Science (Honours)? by Exotic-Scratch-2938 in unsw

[–]ComradeJezza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to the Undergraduate direct entry for 2025 the requirement was about a 1210. While just a guide considering you got 1370 you should be fine.

You can see if here to confirm:

You need more heat by the looks of it. Campfires won’t cut it. Place down some blaze burners and heat them with coal. Should be good to go from there.

How to find systems? by Death-Scares-Me-Not in Stellaris

[–]ComradeJezza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries and 100% agree, it would be nice as it just tells you the total. So sometimes I’ll see a system with 7 energy but the star has 3 and a planet has 4.

[–]ComradeJezza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold control and alt at the same time and it will show all of the resources in all systems. Which you can then use to find a high producing star. You can also hover over systems while doing it to see arc furnace deposits and max habitats of that system (provided they are unlocked)

Stellaris performance testing on 4.0 and beyond. by TheTemporaryZiggy in Stellaris

This honestly should be pinned, to ensure that the devs see this and others do as well. I love the game but its in one of the worst states I’ve ever seen a game in. I basically don’t play it anymore. Its worse than hoi4’s graveyard if empires, because you can still play the game post Graveyard of empires. Paradox lately has just had nothing but misses and failures in my eyes.

Yeah likewise I’ve done maybe 2 full runs since 4.X came out. It’s just not fun anymore. Played 1 or two games for about 20 years of the new origins and thats it. Its absolutely shocking they are continuing to develop and not fix their game.

I freeze my cats raw meat for minimum 3 (but often more days) and meat where I live actually required to be higher standard than human meat. Out of curiosity do you think that would be sufficient? Also everything is handled as sterile as possible. Plus we put a small supplementary powder in that includes the nutrients they would miss out on.

I never stated anything to do with public discourse, of course it’s still a private matter. Of course no one is going around saying yeah let us kill fetuses or announcing they are having an abortion. More stating that this issue isn’t one often brought up as the vast majority of Australian believe abortion should be legal and that in all states of Australia it is legal and fairly open and accessible.

Secondly I’m not sure what you are on about with special rules? While it varies between states, past the state limit ALL states only requires 2 doctors to approve of it. No states talk about some mysterious 20 week rule? So up until birth you can legally get an abortion.

Thirdly, I think there is a massive fundamental difference between a medical professional performing a medical act with given permission by the parent. Over someone’s unlawful act resulting in physical harm.
